WHAT HAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

• Work in Brazilian NGOs with kids to develop and present workshops and practical lessons using sports as a tool to teach life skills and themes such as the following: diversity, tolerance, a healthy life, social responsibility, leadership, teamwork, etc. These topics are related to sports, when the youth learn to play fair and respect others and their own limitations. • Plan and organize, together with the kids, a final sport event and campaign to happen in the last week of the project. • The intern will develop general physical activity from his country. • The intern will be responsible for showing his/her culture. The cultural presentations must involve practical actions to increase the learning (typical dishes, language lessons, typical clothes, etc). • The intern will develop recreational activities with the public. • Create a video about the experience of a Global Citizen!

• Implement the proposed activities; Promote the organization’s brand and raise its positioning status in the city; Promote the interest to know other cultures; WORKING CONDITIONS • Usually, the trainee gets internet access, or any other. • A host will be provided by AIESEC in a Student’s house or Host Family. Bring your own laptop! • The work conditions may vary depending on the NGO chosen by the intern. LEARNING POINTS • Get in touch with the Brazilian culture, people of different realities and conditions, and with NGOs. • Work in a multicultural, unique place and experience, using this place to create a positive impact.

The classes must cover the basic notions of the language, focused in grammar and speaking • Develop and prepare all the material (language classes, topics, themes) and methodology (conversation groups, computer sessions) to be used during the project • The intern will develop general physical activity from his country. • The intern will be responsible for showing his/her culture. The cultural presentations must involve practical actions to increase the learning (typical dishes, language lessons, typical clothes, etc). • The intern will participate in events made by the Local Committee. • Create a video about the experience of a Global Citizen!

• The trainee will work helping the NGO to get a better external position, improving their website, in order to disseminate the volunteer work they do in the community and keep it updated about all the news in the NGO. The trainee will be free to create strategies to raise funds for the organization and for the publicity of the NGO. • The trainee needs to be proactive and creative, innovating some processes in the NGO, planning events, doing some marketing strategies and helping in what the NGO needs. • Plan and execute a fundraising event. • Do some cultural presentations about your country, interact with the public that the NGO relates to, participate on their events and help them on it. • The trainee will also be very close with the other trainees, helping in the quality team • Create a video about the experience of a Global Citizen!

• The NGO expects the trainee to develop a good job with competency, proactiveness and responsibility, which benefits both sides. This way, the NGO will be more popular in the community and have more volunteers. The trainee will also put in practice his academic knowledge and develop the social responsability WORK CONDITIONS • Usually, the intern gets internet access, or any other. • A host will be provided by AIESEC Bauru. A laptop is necessary! • The work conditions may vary depending on the NGO chosen by the intern. LEARNING POINTS • The trainee will learn marketing, publicity, and also learn about the Brazilian culture and the language (Portuguese), social responsibility and cultural impact, being part of a life changing experience!

• Preparation: develop and create all the material (videos, sessions, learning of the themes that will support the conversations, books, newspaper and magazines) to be used during the project. • Speaking Groups: interns will facilitate conversation groups in English and/or Spanish about relevant subjects for professional and personal development as well as global issues. This way, interns will improve students speaking skills in a different language through speaking groups. • Intern can have the chance to work as a CEEDer, joining performing teams of AIESEC in Bauru in order to bring external vision and improve results. • Intern may have the chance to get involved in internal activities of other Student Organizations.

• Number of classes delivered for the Speaking Groups. Satisfaction and positive feedbacks from the students. Number of people attending the final event. Bring traditional stuffs (food, drinks, objects, costumes, etc.). WORK CONDITIONS • Usually, the intern gets internet access, or any other. • A host will be offered by AIESEC; Trainees will receive some coupons to enjoy the city. Bring a laptop! • The work conditions may vary depending on the NGO chosen by the intern. LEARNING POINTS • Development of speaking skills; Improvement of global issues knowledge; Time management; Social impacts.

WISE MADNESS Wise Madness it’s a group that speaks about the craziness in our lives and how to be wise in our choices. We are a social non-profit organization that attend children, adolescents and youth of the Bauru region for free. Currently, we develop four (4) projects: Our Shed, Extreme Sports, Art and Impact with Service Strengthening the Links. The group was founded in 2006, in Bauru, and today presents its work through many cities at the Sao Paulo state. With an average of 50 young people and adolescents involved in the project, everyone has the opportunity to develop skills and put them into practice. Its aim is artistic, involving drama presentations, hip hop and breaking dance, DJ, Rap, Stomp, Extreme sports (skateboarding and roller) and clowns. Develop life lessons, values and motivation through arts to encourage young people to get away from everything that has corrupted our society, seeking to grow each day and bring life lessons, we are building a story.
