MODULAR ENLARGEABLE TERRARIUM

Content

MET(Modular Enlargeable Terrarium) kullanım hacmi arttılabilen modüler bir teraryumdur. Bu teraryum 1 ana modül, 1 UV modülü, 1 ısıtıcı modül ve 2 alansal genişleme modülü olmak üzere toplam 5 adet modülden oluşmaktadır. Ana modülde devre kartı, sıcaklık ve nem sensörü hava nemlendirici ve diğer modüller için güç bağlantıları bulunmaktadır. Ana modülde bulunan sıcaklık ve nem sensörü sayesinde teraryumdaki havanın kalitesi süretkli denetlenmektedir. Gereki durumlarda üründeki nemlendirici, ısıtıcı ve UV lambaları çalıştırılarak hava kalitesi en uygun seviyede tutulur. Bu sayede hem enerji tasarrufu edilmiş hem de teraryumda en uygun hava koşulları sağlanmış olur.

Savior

Lifeguard Drone 12 weeks “Your brief is to design a smart vehicle or smart component for vehicles.�

Cause

Savior is a drone that is designed to help lifesavers do their jobs more efficiently. It patrols and monitors along the shoreline with its built-in camera and with its life-saving capsules, it allows for an even faster way of responding to an emergency.

Research 60 seconds 30 seconds According to various studies, the maximum amount of time an adult can survive without drowning is 60 seconds; with children and the elderly, the maximum amount of survival time is 30 seconds. However, because of things like environmental factors, lack of equipment, etc, these time periods are not always sufficient for lifesavers. Savior is designed to respond as fast as possible in these crucial periods.

Savior is protected from dust and humidity thanks to its fully enclosed body.

Savior can respond to more than one emergency situation with the help of its 2 life-saving capsules.

Savior's foam coatings keep the drone afloat in case of a possible descent into the water. The air resistance is reduced to a minimum with the help of canals along the coatings.

Savior does observations and surveillance with its built-in camera


Usage The lifesaver identifies the emergency and sends Savior for emergency response.

Controlled from a smart tablet, Savior drops one of its life-saving capsules when it arrives at the location of emergency.

The capsule activates upon immediate contact with water and releases the life buoy inside, keeping the person afloat. Then, while Savior automatically goes back to its charging station, the lifesaver goes to rescue the person from the water.

Savior obtains all of its energy from the solar panels on the charging station. The energy flow is as shown in the image

Cause

Swimming, which is one of the most favorite activities of children, makes a great contribution to their physical development. It’s a highly efficient sport that works all the muscles in the body at the same time. Therefore I decided to design a product that makes swimming more efficient activity for disabled children.

Ideation

Neptune is designed for disabled kids who like swimming and to help them swim more effectively. Thanks to its fluid form, Neptune moves freely inside the water. Also, with its slim body structure it acts as an oar. Another advantange of its slim body structure is its light weight. This way, it exhausts the user as little as possible.

Problem The thumb in current robotic hands, which distrups the hand’s fluid form, decreases the efficiency in swimming. So I decided not to use the thumb in my robotic hand design. But eliminating the thumb means sacrificing the grabbing ability. Therefore, I developed a form in the palm of the hand that acts as a thumb and I added silicone pads on top of it to make the grabbing easier.

Hand palm - Contains paths for fibers on its surface.

Forearm part - Contains paths for fibers on its surface. - Contains elbow joint. Neptune is designed thinking every step of the swimming activity. The hand should help the kid, not be an obstacle. While pulling themselves forwards, it also shouldn’t pull them back. Therefore, I developed a more dynamic and a more fluid form while designing Neptune.

Cause

In todays world, many people feed exotic animals as their pets. Lizards, snakes, bugs and spiders are the most common species of these animals. But these animals need very special air conditions to live. Such as humidity, UV light, temperature, and living area. So I decided to design a product that could provide these conditions at the best circumstances for both the pet and the owner.

MODULAR ENLARGEABLE TERRARIUM

MET contains 1 main module, 1 UV module, heating module and 2 areal enlargement module. Via the humidity and temperature sensor in the main modul, quality of the terrariums air constantly scans. When needed, humidifier, heater or UV light turns on. By this way both the energy is saved and the best air conditions are provided in the terrarium.

in care is designed to bring a moduler solution to different users different problems. It can be used as singular, dual or triple. Via the detachable charging units, in care looks as whole in any usage.

Usage Users sign in with their fingerprints. 3

The measurements that are done with in care are saved to the product’s smart phone app to create a medical history, which can be checked by the user’s doctor. Users can communicate with their doctor and get an appointment if necessary. Also, in care can be synchronized with the e-pulse system by the Turkish Ministry of Health.
