What is After Gate?

After Gate

The Louise S. McGehee After Gate Program is comprised of enrichment classes, activities, real life lessons and supervision that are first-rate and outstanding for children in Kindergarten through 7th Grade. The After Gate Program can provide children with tools that are essential in developing the whole individual. Activities include gymnastics, drama, piano, guitar, playground play, foreign language, team sports, life time sports, cooking, sewing, knitting, arts and much more.

Enrichment Programs

When is After Gate? For more information contact: The After Gate Program begins at the end of each school day: 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays; and 2:20 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays. All students are to enroll in the After Gate Program if on campus following dismissal or if not engaged in some other school activity. Students must sign-in and join the After Gate staff, its activities and/or an enrichment class(es). After Gate is the place to be!

A class that changes each semester according to student interests. Students in grades 5-7 are offered many creative ways to learn new skills through specialized classes. These classes vary by semester and are based on student interests. This is McGehee’s way of keeping up with teenagers.
