Since many cities around the world started executing the self-isolation policy, whether formally or informally, people tend to spend their days without any social or physical interaction. Yet, Aristotle once said that humans are ‘Zoon Politikon’, which means that we are social creatures by design. In order to survive in conditions that are contrary to human nature such as during this pandemic, we need to make some Mental Adjustments.
Mental Adjustment is the overarching idea that inspired the new series of works from Agugn. Created during the Covid-19 quarantine period, this series of works explore personal problems that seem to be buried for a long time and yet to be appropriately resolved. Using a more personal approach, Agugn tried to map out fears, losses, and disappointment that must be accepted and acknowledged from the brighter side.
Those problems that Agugn faced to this day then take the spotlight, all because this pandemic led him to many contemplative moments. the time that lack or seems lacked,
