Control The limits and possibilities of biological (McMurtry, 1978, 1985) and IPM strategies are well known (Knapp, 1981). With regard to chemical control, avermectins (McCoy et al., 1982; French and Villarreal, 1988); carbamates (French et al., 1985); organochlorines (French, 1975; French et al., 1985; Buergo et al., 1986; Flores et al., 1994, 1996a); organotins (Ochoa et al., 1989); pyrethroids (Ochoa et al., 1989); phenyl pyrazoles (French and Villarreal, 1988); organophosphorus (Buergo et al., 1986); petroleum oils (French, 1975; Buergo et al., 1986; French and Villarreal, 1988); pyridazinones (French and Bruno, 1996); and sulfur (Jeppson, 1989) have all been cited in the literature.
