“Our kids battled tonight. Texas A&M is a good team. They are athletic and caused us to turn the ball over, which cost us the game. Starks is a good player. As much as you yell at your players to guard her, occasionally they have a brain slip and she hits the shot. But, that’s the Big 12 player that she is.” - UT Arlington Head Coach Samantha Morrow

Texas A&M tied a season-high with nine blocked shots in a 69-55 win over UT Arlington on Dec. 28, 2007. The Mavericks committed an opponent season-high 35 turnovers in the contest. Two days later, the Aggies closed out the year with North Carolina A&T and shot a school-record 96.0 percent (24-of-25) from the free throw line. Contributing to the milestone was junior Danielle Gant (10-of-10), who became only the third player in school history to go perfect on 10-or-more attempts from the free throw line, next to former players Lisa Branch and Janet Duckham.
