MARILI: Your specialty is orthodontics. Explain to us briefly the Damon system and what are the privileges of its application? VASILEVSKA-GJEORGIEVA: I have been a specialist in orthodontics since 2011, and during this time I have continuously upgraded in the field that is of my interest. Starting from the specialisation, I followed a large number of educations, seminars, courses, most of which were abroad: Germany, France, Italy, Hungary, Spain, America. Today, modern orthodontics is evolving and functional orthodontics is increasingly used, i.e. the function, jaw joint, breathing, speech, phonation, and aesthetics and beautiful smile are taken into account to finally complete the whole. In order to progress and to successfully apply what I have learned, I acquired certification to work with passive self-ligating orthodontic systems, and the Damon system is an American system that is a leader in the world of orthodontics. That is why I chose the Damon system as an innovative system that allows an individual approach to every patient. In the meantime, I completed training for the treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders, and when I work on the reconstruction of a patient's joint, I need a system with mild forces, since the treatment is very subtle. I have also implemented additional diagnostic tools and treatments, from electromyographic measurements to condylography to measuring the posture in children, which can be disturbed due to poor position of the temporomandibular joint (jaw joint). MARILI: You are an orthodontic educator not only in our country but also abroad. Can you explain this? VASILEVSKA-GJEORGIEVA: Working intensively with my dedication and education, I became an international educator and lecturer for this system. To date, I have conducted more than 200 trainings locally in Macedonia, regionally in Kosovo, Albania, Serbia, Bulgaria, Croatia, and also within KOL seminars, in the world – in Egypt, Italy, Germany, Jordan,

MARILI: Dr. Vasilevska-Gjeorgieva, could you briefly introduce us to the Denta ES Polyclinic, what does it deal with, when was it established and how many experts have you employed? VASILEVSKA-GJEORGIEVA: My husband and I established Denta ES Polyclinic together more than 15 years ago, in 2005. We first started as a dental office, and in 2012, after several expansions of the capacity and the team, we grew into a dental polyclinic with dentists specialising in oral surgery, orthodontics, prosthetics as well as a team of general dentists. From the very beginning our vision was to make sure that our patients receive high-quality service with the latest world trends applied. The number of satisfied customers was increasing as a result of recommendations, and that went hand in hand with our continuous education and training. Each of us specialised in the area that suited them the most. I completed specialisation in orthodontics, and my husband in oral surgery. Thus, the need to expand our activities, to expand spatially as well as to increase the number of our team came naturally. Today, the Denta ES Polyclinic is a synonym for modern dentistry with a specific and integrative approach that we have in the treatment of our patients, including the latest unique, revolutionary world methods applied in Macedonia. We are accommodated in the purpose-designed and modernly equipped premises for our business. We have the most modern equipment in the field of modern dentistry аnd have applied the process of digital dentistry for two years now. In fact, digital dentistry is the implementation of prosthetic products with just one visit, and it starts with taking digital prints. Taking digital prints also helped me to develop digital orthodontics, i.e. making digital aligners, i.e. invisible orthodontics. Today, we have 21 employees, eight of them being doctors and the rest dental hygienists and assistants, along with the administration.

ВАСИЛЕВСКА-ЃЕОРГИЕВА: Јас сум специјалист по ортодонција од 2011 година, но оттогаш, па сѐ до денес во континуитет се надградувам во сферата што ми е од интерес. Сѐ оди напред, па и во нашата професија се менуваат пристапите во третманот.
