2017 Masters World Championship

Greater Houston Area

Message to Our Black Churches:

Jules Johnson

Opening in April, 2014, Pablo Silva has quickly gained a reputation for training champions. Under his tutelage and leadership, the school has produced 10 world champions since opening. This year, in addition to Pablo Silva himself winning a championship, there was Jordan Burton III, Sylvia Anh, Matthew Farrell of Beaumont, and Jules Johnson. Jules Johnson may sound familiar to you. He is a local attorney, former candidate for the judiciary and avid Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor. On Friday, August 25, 2017, at approximately 4:05 Pacific Standard Time, he fought the final of 6 matches for the day and emerged victorious--gaining the right to be called WORLD CHAMPION. We salute these local champions, congratulate them on their success and wish them much more success in the future. READ FULL ARTICLE ONLINE AFRAMNEWS.COM
