Author Biographies Daniela Véliz-Calderón is Assistant Professor and Vice-Director of Teaching and Learning at the School of Education at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Her research interests relate to the academic profession, internationalization, student affairs and gender. Dr. Véliz-Calderón earned her Master of Arts in Student Development in Higher Education, and Ph. D. in Higher Education from the University of Maine. Elizabeth J. Allan, Ph.D., is Professor and Program Director of Higher Education at the University of Maine. Allan’s scholarship focuses on campus cultures and climates including campus diversity, equity, student engagement, and hazing. She is the author of two books, co-editor of a third, and has authored or co-authored more than 25 research-based articles.
