The negatively charged electrode contains an overabundance of lithium electrons, whilst the positive electrode is electron deficient (metal oxide). The two electrodes are connected via an electrical wire that transports electron from the negative cathode electrode to the positive anode, in a process commonly referred to as electricity 12.
