ness costs have not provided the expected results because of the resistance of the administration and rejecting the vital overall reforms in the country, said Bugarin at the sitting of the CCIS Assembly held on 23rd December 2011. All activities of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia are directed in three main strategic aims , and the most dominant were those referring to the representing and protection of the interests of its members both at the national and international level. Therefore, total of 1683 activities were organized, which makes up even 49.46 percent of total activities of the CCIS in the first nine months of 2011. The second strategic aim concerning the structural adjusting of the economy and improvement of the business climate, which concerns the increase of investments, production and exportation. This aim was realised through 1547 activities, which makes up 45.98 percent of all activities. The reorganization of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia and transformation of the chamber system in Serbia was the essential issue of the 154 activities. In the first ten months there were 16 000 persons participating in some of the activities organized by the CCIS, which was an average 1600 persons monthly, underscored the CCIS president Bugarin. When it comes to the creation of the regulatory framework, the CCIS notified the opinions and proposals on 37 laws in the field of economy to the relevant ministries. Out of that number the 22 proposals were discussed at the public debates and the opinions on 90 bylaws were submitted, too. Having in mind the importance of the Law on public procurement, the CCIS nominated its representative in the working group for the elaboration of the draft to the amendments to that Law. Commerce and Industry Miloš Bugarin particularly emphasised the importance of two meetings which the representatives of the SME sector had with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, in collaboration with the National Assembly, organized the first Serbian Parliament of Enterprises with a view to conducting business dialogue between the economy and power, and on that occasion 22 conclusions were adopted, said the president of the CCIS. As far as the reorganization of the CCIS and the chamber system on a whole, Bugarin pointed out the significance of the meeting of twelve European chambers with mandatory membership, where the CCIS signed the Declaration titled ‘From acceptance to regular procedure’. Before the adoption of the Report on work of the CCIS for 2011, the president of the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia Milan Janković said that the CCIS and the chamber system of Serbia justified itself and that the following year should be focused on the activities to preserve it. for 2012 was presented by Mihailo Vesović, vice-president of the CCIS, who underscored that three key goals will be the base of all operations as well as that the reorganization of the CCIS and transformation of the chamber system will be one of the essential issues. Our goal is to fight for the Law on Chambers of Commerce, whose implementation starts on 1st January 2013, it does not come into force, but as of 2013 the CCIS and the system of the regional chambers of commerce throughout Serbia to be a part of the public-legal European chambers with the mandatory membership, said Vesović. The members of the CCIS Assembly unanimously adopted the Working program of the CCIS for 2012. They also elected the new vice-president of the CCIS Miroslav Miletić, who was the former general manager of the Bambi-Banat Concern and former president of the CCIS Assembly.
