What to Expect on AdvenTour, sample Q & A How many people will be on my tour? It depends on the type of tour you choose and where you go. Some of our cultural tours take a maximum of 14 people. Our adventure tours take a maximum of 12 people. Based on experience we can say that you should expect to travel with 5-6 other people. What kind of people can I expect to travel with? People travelling with AdvenTour come from all walks of life and all parts of the world. They range in age and a large number are solo travellers along with couples and friends touring together. Some are more experienced than others, but all share the spirit of adventure and exploration, which comes from independent travelling. Am I suited to group travel? We recognise that some of our travellers have never been on a group tour before. You can rest assured that our trips allow you to do your own thing within the framework of the itinerary. We fully recognise your needs as an individual. How do we travel? Again, depending on the type of tour, transport will vary according to the terrain. It will range from local jeeps to trucks, minibuses to 4wd vehicles. Most of the time during the tour we use comfortable, air-conditioned cars. Is the itinerary of my tour likely to change? All itineraries are suggested only. It is unlikely that the company will have to make major changes to the suggested tour, but the arrangements are planned many months in advance. Occasionally changes have to be made. Most of these changes are minor, something as simple as road works or public holidays however we will do everything to ensure that all sites as per the itinerary are visited. Are the tours physically demanding? It depends on the type of trip you undertake. Some tours, such as Caucasus trekking are a little more strenuous, however the vast majority of the tours are well within the capability of any healthy individual. Read individual tour description carefully. What type of accommodation will we use during the tour? We choose hotels/guesthouses that combine comfort and great service with unique design and appreciation of the natural beauty of a region. The emphasis is on location and practicality. Our tours are based on 3 star properties. In capital cities and other places where higher-class accommodation is available you can upgrade if you wish. In areas where hotels are not available, particularly in small towns in the regions of Armenia and Georgia, the group will stay at a local guesthouse. What meals are included and what can be expected? This is the best part of travel in Armenia and the Caucasus! This is certainly no time to go on a diet. All of the tours offer cuisine of the region and suggestions for places to visit and specialties to enjoy. What about wine tasting and visiting wineries? Wines of Armenia and Georgia are both plentiful and excellent and the wineries on our routes make great stops to visit. Several of our tours include tasting.

Responsible Travel As a local tour company in Armenia and the Caucasus region, we know first-hand what the impact of tourism can be in remote places and on small isolated communities. It is our aim to provide journeys that minimize the negative impacts of tourism on fragile natural and cultural environments. This is done by providing cultural and environmental guidance to our travelers helping them experience the culture of the country they visit and appreciate it for what it is. However, we believe that this is not enough - giving something back is what makes the real difference. And that comes through employing people from local communities, purchasing food and souvenirs produced by them, using small family-run hotels or staying as guests with local families. As part of our efforts aimed at enhancing responsible travel in the Caucasus, we endeavor to work with organizations that have a commitment to environmental responsibility and operate effective local initiatives.

Traveler Involvement Only with the input of our clients are we able to achieve our aims for Responsible Travel and we thank all our travelers past, present and future for their support. We appreciate the time they spend considering our guidelines and are grateful for all the generous donations and willing participation towards the projects we partner with. How to Donate Soon on our booking form, you will be able to specify if you would like to support any of our Responsible Travel projects by ticking the appropriate box and stating how much you would like to contribute.
