Tigerettes continue meet victory streak at Frnka Relays By Coy Slavik

GOLIAD – The Goliad Tigerettes continued their track and field meet victory streak without the services of one of their top athletes during much of Friday’s event at Tiger Stadium. Ashtin Zamzow won the high jump and long jump before sitting out the rest of the meet to rest a minor injury, but the Tigerettes still managed to their fourth straight meet title. Ashtin Zamzow cleared 5 feet, 2 inches to win the high jump and went 16-10 to capture the long jump. Alexius Perry won three gold medals. Perry won the 100-meter dash in 12.6 seconds and combined with Carlee Howard, Avery Zamzow and Demari Ellis to win the 400 relay in 50.0 and teamed with Ellis, Avery Zamzow and Denise Jones to win the 800 relay in 1:46.8. Avery Zamzow also won three gold medals with a victory in the 200 in 26.0. Katy Salziger won the gold in the 300 hurdles with a time of 48.7.
