XP3 Students MOVE, SESSION 1: The Main Event

Small Group Leader Email [For Student Pastors] Remember to email your leaders every week with the small group questions attached. This will allow your leaders to review the material before they sit down to lead discussion. Be mindful to encourage your leaders, celebrate their successes, and thank them for being committed.

[Small Group Leader Information – Email Content Below] Hey Small Group Leaders – I hope everyone had a great week last week, personally and also in small group! This week, we’re kicking off a series called Move and will take a look at what it actually looks like to serve like Jesus. Have a great week!

Series Preview for Move: Session 1 Summary: The Main Event (Include Date) Have you ever volunteered or been involved in a service event, felt the exhilaration of moving to help others only to feel a little let down when it was over? Have you ever felt really committed to a cause or charity only to feel like someone flipped a switch and your focus shifted back to your everyday life? When we look at the life of Jesus, we see Someone who served without a turn-off switch. And when we choose to serve as He served, when it becomes part of who we are, we experience the joy of knowing we have a lasting impact.

Bottom Line: Movements, not moments, will change the world.

The Goal of Small Group: To help students understand that serving is a mindset, not an event; and to encourage them to get in the habit of meeting needs when they can.
