Contemporary cities, established largely around stable supplies of materials and plentiful access to energy sources, will be seriously affected by sudden changes in supply - particularly if technology cannot cater for consumption demands. This study analyses the links between energy consumption and urban form using Barcelona as a case study. This research was developed within the Masters of European Urbanism at TU Delft and UPC Barcelona.
