Hotel Lobby – Preservation

& Rehabilitation

The space is illuminated by a different lighting system strategically placed throughout the space. A dominant check-in/check-out structure provides an elevated platform (canopy) holding light sources to illuminate a ceiling by using recessed uplights with a narrow beam and provide a light for the reception by using recessed downlights. Flood low voltage uplights are strategically placed between each “rib” of the canopy to create an effect of an illuminated gold crown.

ELECTRICAL PLAN

DETAIL Creative lighting solution.

Curvilinear shapes and forms were used to create an effective and functional interior space with contemporary interpretation in furniture and preserving the old ornamentation and architectural features while providing nowadays necessities offering a positive and luxurious experience to the guests. The curvilinear path of circulation that is mimicking the central ceiling pattern guides the guests throughout the space, and creates a visual cohesiveness of the space. The different colors and patterns help to distinguish the areas and introduce visual interest.
