HELLO! I am Adithyalakshmi Suresh, a third year architecture student at College of Architecture Trivandrum, Kerala. This portfolio is a compilation containing some of my selected and close to heart projects which present my ideologies and approach towards architecture.

I believe that architecture is a creative profession that requires a good amount of hardwork ,dedication , practice and patience inorder to get the final product. It always fascinates me on how buildings could affect the way we live, our mood and behaviour.

As an architecture student I want to bring about designs that are functionally people-centric, aestethically revealing the culture of the place and structurally balancing with the climatic conditions.

I hope this internship opportunity would open up the gates to a wonderful experience that would shape my architecture career.

01 GREENE'S VILLE Residential Project Project year: Semester IV Location:Aakkulam, The project was to design a residence for a family consisting of five members ,where the main member being a writer and novelist. The spaces in the house were designed according to the characterstics and functions of the users.

The Greene’ s Ville is a 3050 sqft residence built in the outskirts of Aakulamcity witha a scenic view towards the beautiful Aakilam river. The building comprises of three levels of floors, attached with a small pool courtyard in between.

THE BUILDING CONSISTS OF 2 OLID MASSES AND ONE VOIDAL MASS IN BETWEEN THEM. ONE SOLID MASS ACTS AS PUBLIC, THE OTHER PRIVATE AND VOIDAL AS TRANSISTION SPACE TO ACCESS THESE SOLID MASSES.

A CONNECTION BETWEEN THE BLOCK IS LODGED BETWEEN THE TWO SPLIT UP BOXES.

THE TWO BLOCKS ARE ARRANGED AT SAME HEIGHT INORDER TO BLOCK SUNLIGHT ON FALLING EACH OTHER.

03 AADI GURU JUNIOR SCHOOL Junior School Project Project year: Semester V Location: Thiruvellam, Trivandrum

The project aims to design a junior school according to Kerala State Government rules . The school ha to accomodate a total of 360 students with 60 students in each batches of 3-8 grades along with required amount staffs. The building has to include facilities like mid- day meal programmes and also act as a lifeline shelter building during emergencies an natural calamites.

SCHOOL AS A LIFELINE BUILDING

THE CLASSROOM ARE PLANNED IN SUCH A WAY THAT THEY SHARE A COMMON BACKWALL MADE OF WOODEN AND GLASS WOOL FIBRE PANELS(SOUND PROOF) THAT CAN BE COLLAPSED AND THEN BOTH THE CLASSES BECOMING A SINGLE BIG HALL.

LIFT ENTRANCE +COURTYARD AREA THE CANTEEN BE USED TO PROVIDE FOOD FOR A MANY NUMBER OF PEOPLE DURING AN EMERGENCY SITUATION

THE PORTION ABOVE THE AUDITORIUM CAN BE USED AS A GATHERING SPACE FOR PEOPLE

THE AUDITORIUM CAN BE CONVERTED INTO USABLE SPACE DURING EMERGENCIES HENCE IT IS BUILD FLAT ON THE GROUND INORDER TO MAKE IT USE MULTIPURPOSEFULLY.
