The school campus is located just off IH-35 in the northeast portion of Schertz. The school is 10 minutes from downtown New Braunfels and Selma, five minutes from FM 3009 and from Cibolo.
We are transitioning a former public school campus for our classroom and daily use, 80,000 square feet of space. The school also owns a 53-acre site just across FM 482 from our campus. This will be used for the development of competition sports fields. Visit our web site to see more about our future use of these gifts from God.

WE ARE JOHN PAUL.
why john paul? Our families come from twenty-four different middle schools, fifteen parishes, some as close as five minutes from campus and a few as far as an hour away. Here are four ways many of them answer that question. Formation in Faith: John Paul has a deep commitment to Catholic formation, with weekly Mass, daily Theology class, small faith groups, and hourly prayer. Faculty excellence: We have the best teaching staff in the area: 250 years of classroom experience, a 15-year average per teacher, four doctors, 14 Master’s degrees, and a commitment to Catholic education. One-on-one: Students have a real opportunity for individual instruction, tutoring, and mentoring. Those opportunities are built into our school day. Leadership and involvement: Students at John Paul are very involved in the life of the school. They learn real-life skills in building and growing new programs. Most students have four or more different sports, clubs, and activites that they are contributing to each year.
...an Archdiocesan, Roman Catholic college preparatory high school for young women and men that affirms the dignity of all persons; prepares students for excellence in college; engages students in the great works of our Western, Catholic tradition; and deepens young persons’ relationship with Christ.
we are college prep.
The school academic program has the end goal in mind: well-formed, well-prepared college students, with a foundation for life-long learning. All students complete a distinguished degree program of 28 credits. To these ends, JPII offers AP courses, fine arts, and on-line classes, and maintains a dual credit agreement with area community colleges.
we are active.
The school offers a wide array of extra-curricular and activities -- from competitive athletics to the arts to clubs to service. Our belief is that students learn much from these pursuits; they form community, develop ownership, and have fun. One of the strengths of JPII is that students are encouraged to follow their many interests and develop their God-given talents.
JPIICHS is a part of the great tradition of Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese, top college preparatory education. In 2012, the schools had a collective graduation rate of 99.9%, and those students had scholarship & grant offers of over $55.5 million (of 719 graduates).
we are great books.
Within humanities courses (theology, English language arts, social studies), we use a ‘Great Books’ approach, utilizing works from the Western, classical tradition to take students into the vital ideas of our world and our Catholic faith. Using these ‘first sources,’ our students are well prepared for college level writing, reading, and thinking.
