_Configure the squares as shown, rotating every other square. _Sew them together from one side by slightly pulling together the edges where they meet (see Fig. 1). _Using scrap fabric, cut and sew a large piece to the reverse of the blanket. _Cover the edges with the material you removed earlier and sew it in place.
