William Caslon’s font style was influenced by the Dutch. Although it wasn’t as popular throughout Europe, it was in America. It was even used on the Declaration of Independence.

Baskerville John Baskerville Designed: 1750’s

John Baskerville designed his font to be used for higher quality books and design.


Didot Firmin Didot Designed: 1784-1811


Designed by a French man, the Didot typeface is an elegant font, but it is best not to be used for body texts.


Clarendon Robert Besley Designed: 1845

Helvetica was influenced by both German and Swiss typefaces. It can be used in a lot of different content because of the balanced letters.
