The Tear In this cracking kitchen bare we're talking in circles around each other the water's boiling, the tea prepared but no one will ever sip it. The lights are flickering but they'll never die not until the last man is slain by the last tear from the last woman's eye. I find myself alone watching the water overflow and the swimming green things are daffodils or at least they seem to be in my mind maybe I'm just deluded again. The lights are flickering but they'll never die not until the last man is slain by the last tear from the last woman's eye. I don't wanna hear bout how you cured your lust how you chained your greed how you cut the cord that bound your greatest need. The lights are flickering but they'll never die not until the last man is slain by the last tear from the last woman's eye. I'm lost in the valleys I've carved for myself and mighty giants are felled with a twitch of my sharpened axe and Paul Bunyan's crying 'cuz I'm torturing Babe I confess it's all a lie, I'm just being coy. The lights are flickering but they'll never die not until the last man is slain by the last tear from the last woman's eye.
