JOB STATEMENT The Bushfire – Recovery Coordinator will liaise closely with the Case Management Supervisor and the Community Development Officer in order to ensure all reporting and accountability tasks are completed in a timely manner. The coordinator will also provide support to the case managers in the absence of the case management supervisor. KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS • • •

Ensure the recovery activities of Wellington Shire Council are being undertaken in a coordinated manner Ensure all funding and service agreement reporting is occurring in a timely manner Provide support and assistance to all bushfire recovery staff as required Provide supervision for case management staff in the absence of the case management coordinator Liaise with the various funding bodies Keep the Municipal Recovery Manager updated on all key recovery activities
General • Utilise the resources and assistance of business units across council to support the recovery process
ORGANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIP •
Reports to: Municipal Recovery Manager
Supervises: Case management staff in the absence of the case managment coordinator
Internal Liaisons: Emergency Management Staff, all Council business units
External Liaisons: All member organisations of the Wellington Recovery Committee Bushfire Recovery funding bodies – Department of Human Services, Department of Planning and Community Development, Victorian Bushfire Recovery and Reconstruction Authority (VBRRA)
