Treasure Hunt

Visitors - We are so glad you’ve come this morning to seek the Lord Jesus Christ and worship Him together with us. Please take a moment to complete the Connection Card in the worship folder. After doing so, tear it off and bring it to the Information Center in the lobby to receive a complimentary gift bag and information about the ministries of our church.

Would you like to find something more precious than rubies, and better than silver and gold? The wisdom is the treasure you are seeking, and it’s found in the book of Proverbs. Join us in the quest for wisdom, and other choice treasure unlocked in the book of Proverbs, as the church reads a chapter a day during the month of January. We’re halfway through, but you can still start today with chapter 15. Pastors Gary, Chris and Jeff are

writing short thoughts about each chapter and posting them on the church Facebook page. Today’s reading form chapter 15:14 says, “The discerning heart seeks knowledge, but…” You’ll have to keep reading to find out ‘”the rest of the story”. Join us in reading through Proverbs, as a way to help make 2017, “The Best Year Ever”.

Make a Difference Do you have a heart for young people? Do you want to make an impact in your community? Be a mentor! There are currently 20 young people in Polk County, 5 of whom are in the SCF/Dresser/ Osceola area, anxiously waiting for an adult who is willing to share 2-4 hours/week, building a one-on-one relationship. Mentoring doesn’t take special skill. It takes an adult who is willing to welcome a young person into their world and share life experience with them. Kinship mentors come in all ages, all personalities, all imperfections. Kinship matches play games, eat dinner, go fishing, run errands, go for walks, enjoy woodworking, bake and so much more. If you
