A blessed Sunday to everyone! As we continue to prepare for our Anniversary Sundays through our consecutive revival services, I pray that we really allow God to send revival in our hearts, in our homes and in us as a church family. Revival does not happen by accident; it comes to a willing person desiring for God to work in him and through him. That is why I am joyful that I pastor such a group of people. You have more opportunities this week as we have our 2 nights Revival, full blast invitations in our respective areas and our motorcade on Saturday. As our big event approaches, I challenge you to involve more, sacrifice more, and serve more. Make sure you pray hard as you invite your friends, neighbors, office mates, and relatives. I am excited to see souls saved and hear how God will use us individually through this occasion. Let us use this event to show God how we thank Him for putting us in this church where His grace is evident and His name is magnified.

Sunday School Outline The Right Procedure for Involvement Nehemiah 9:1-7 ; 31-37 I. The right procedure for involvement is through the acknowledgement of the truth. A. God’s people must acknowledge the authority of His eternal word. B. God’s people must admit that they are wrong and God is always right. II. The right procedure for involvement is through the altar call. A. The altar of God is the best place to make commitment for involvement. B. The altar of God is the best place to show that God has moved our hearts. C. The altar of God is the best place to say to God how much we thank Him for the things He has done in our lives. III. The right procedure for involvement is through amendment (correction) of sinful ways. A. God’s people must amend their ways according to God’s goodness. B. God’s people must amend their ways by taking heed to God’s ways. IV. The right procedure for involvement is through the appropriation (setting) of one’s life for the Lord. A. Giving of self to the Lord is one of the keys for proper involvement. B. Giving of self to the Lord must be sealed by a promised covenant with Him.

OW interested are we in praying to the Lord and truly worshipping His Holy Name? How interested are we in growing in God's truth and knowing Him deeply? How interested are we in gaining a greater knowledge and understanding of His Word? And just how interested are we in sharing those precious things with the dying world around us? Let's get serious about getting ourselves revived! The world needs to see us flourishing! There's so much work to be done!

EVIVAL is an ongoing transformation of our hearts to be constantly moved by the Spirit of God. We need to be daily breaking up our fallow ground, those places in our

hearts which we've allowed to grow hard. How? We have to ask first the Lord to reveal those hard places, pray that He would forgive us and ask Him to heal all our rough edges that we might be soft before Him and sensitive to His leading. Only then will we be changed and be in a place where we can contribute to revival around us.

F I were to faint, stop breathing, or if my heart were to stop pumping, my hope is that someone would revive me. If I am not revived, it will be fatal to my existence. My normal state of operation is upright, breathing, and heart pumping. The normal Christian life is: • Living holy • Being faithful • Being a soulwinner • Hav-

ing peace and contentment • Experiencing joy and happiness • Showing obedience and submission • Enjoying church attendance and prayer • Giving and serving • Bible reading When there is a departure from the norm, that is when revival is needed! When we faint, backslide, or fall into sin, that is when revival is needed to return to the normal state of operation!

EVIVALS are a spiritually necessary working of the Holy Spirit in the life of a church and its members. Revivals are used of God to awaken the saints, strengthen the things that remain, and “resurrect” some things that may have died.

testimonies of Joyful Involvement

from the Young at Hearts' Sunday School Class We praise God for encouraging, enabling and empowering us to involve in His work through our church. We thank Him likewise for our brethren who are resolved to involve by His grace, through His leading, and for His glory. May their testimonies inspire us to do our part in the fulfillment of the Great Commission.

Bro. Roberto and Sis. Susan Marasigan

I thank God for choosing me as one of the heirs of His kingdom when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour on May 13, 2008. Since I gladly received God’s word, I was baptized on that same day here in CBBC. I can say that I am the fruit of my wife’s fervent prayer and steadfast faith in the Lord. My wife got saved and was baptized on September 16, 1990 in a Baptist Church, and her conversion offended me, which caused me to persecute her. In 2005, she was invited by her sister, Sis. Myrna Quion, to worship the Lord here in CBBC, and in 2006, she transferred her membership. I praise God that my wife continued attending church services despite my oppositions, warnings and threatenings as an unbelieving husband then. Her regular church attendance and consistent area Bible study participation gave her revival and made her trust in God all the more to work a miracle in my life. God’s miracle worked in me as I witnessed my wife’s faithfulness in serving God and in encouraging me to come to church with her. God has rewarded her obedience to Him and her love for my soul. Now, my wife and I, together with our three children, are joyfully attending church services. We are really blessed with the programs of this Church, and are grateful to have the best Pastor. By the grace of God, I am striving to follow the Lord through my church involvement, especially in the ushering ministry which I joined in since August 2010. My wife is enjoying her ministry in the Cradle Roll department of our Children’s Sunday School. I truly thank God for all His blessings, and it is my prayer that He will extend our strength in serving Him together that we “…might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God” Colossians 1:10. To God be the glory!

Bro. Leonardo and Sis. Annie Lacsina We praise and thank the Lord for His greatness and for His marvellous work in our family. We thank Him also for allowing us to be a part of this great Church, and for giving us Dr. Ed Laurena as our Pastor and spiritual leader. Being members of this Church since 1998, we are very much privileged to be fed by the Word of God regularly. We likewise thank the Lord for the people whom God uses to encourage us. It is also a blessing that God still uses me in the ushering ministry, and my wife will be starting in the Sunday School ministry. By God’s grace, we hope and pray that God will continue to use every member of our family in His great work. To God be the glory!
