Faithfulness of the believers should persist because it is dedicated for the Master’s “well done” commendation. III. Faithfulness is determination (fortitude) with passion (zeal, excitement). A. The heartbeat of our Saviour is toward His word, will and work. B. The heartbeat of the saints should also be toward his/her Saviour’s word, will and work. C. Is your place a small place? Tend it with care!—He set you there. Is your place a large place? Guard it with care!—He set you there. Whate’er your place, it is Not yours alone, but his Who set you there. - copied

“Victorious Christian Living Through our Faithfulness” will be our new theme for this month of September. With that, let us always be reminded that we serve a faithful God! Such is a truth we cannot deny since it has been so evident in many ways in our church, our families and in our own lives. Our salvation exemplifies God’s faithfulness in our lives. We were not deserving, but because of His grace, He did save us. Even when we fail, He does not take away our salvation. He really is a faithful God, and because of that, he deserves our faithfulness. Let us then allow God, through the lessons and preachings this month, to challenge us in the area of faithfulness. I was blessed last week when I preached in the First Anniversary of our outreach in Singapore. There were 70 souls who attended, and around 25 visitors professed their faith in the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Likewise, we enjoyed two days of fellowship with some of the brethren there. Let us constantly pray for our Singapore outreach as we look forward for more souls to be saved, for that work to be established and for other mission works to be opened in other countries. We have no other goal than to glorify God and proclaim the Gospel. Finally, let me encourage you to be faithful in your Christian life and in your church involvement. Support our upcoming activities and services. May we continue to grow through our daily Bible reading and through the preaching of God’s Word!

ENGLISH is a strange language. You would think that full of faith and faithful would be the same thing. They are not. They are related, but they are not the same thing. To be full of faith is to have faith. To be faithful is to keep the faith. It is being true to the trust placed in us by others and by God. Everybody appreciates the person who is faithful, who will never betray a trust and never fail to keep a commitment. When we have not been faithful, it is because some doubt, however momentary or tentative, has crept in. See: Proverbs 20:6; 1 Corinthians 1:9; 1 Thessalonians 5:24; 1 Timothy 1:12; James 1:6

If I am faithful to the duties of the present, God will provide for the future.

Faith in a hearer relates to faithfulness in a speaker, and credits the word spoken. Our need is not to prove God's faithfulness but to It is demonstrate our own, better to be by trusting Him both to faithful than determine and to supply famous. our needs according to His will.

L E AV I N G A L E G A C Y JOSIAH is a third generation king who returns Jerusalem once again to the One

true God that his grandfather Manasseh humbled himself to. Manasseh had started out poorly. He brought in idols from foreign lands, led the Israelites astray. God tried many times to reach Manasseh and the Israelites, but Manasseh would not listen. So eventually, God sent the Assyrians in to attack Jerusalem. In his distress, Manasseh cries out to the Lord. He repents and restores Jerusalem back to serving the One true God. Upon his death, his son, young King Amon, ascends to the throne, but unlike his father before him, Amon never humbles himself before the One true God. He was so rotten and cruel and mean, that eventually his own men attacked and killed him. The only one left to fill his shoes was an 8 year old boy, King Josiah. King Josiah had watched his father and all of King Amon’s ways. Josiah decides he needs to be better. Throughout the next 31 years of his reign, Josiah returns Jerusalem back to its rightful place, getting rid of all the idols King Amon had the people worship and led the Israelites back to the heart of God, the One true God. The children of Israel went back and forth, generation after generation. There would be high points and low points. When fathers led their children in the ways of the Lord, for the most part, it carried on to the next generation. But there were low points too when one generation chose to be led astray and after a few generations, the people had forgotten, once again, about God and His ways. In every one of these scenarios, God never leaves. He’s always there and orchestrates awesome events to turn their hearts back to him. The same is true for us today. Our children watch us. Even though we follow the One true God, there are low points in our lives as well. Even though we can’t see it when in the middle of it, God is at work orchestrating awesome ways to show His love for us and bring us back to Him. Our children watch us closely, each and every day. Will we leave a legacy one day that will cause our children to follow in our footsteps and worship the One true God, or will we be remember as a “bad bad King,” like King Amon. Be remembered as a Josiah, wouldn’t you?

based on 2 Kings 21:1-23:25

We're pilgrims on the journey of the narrow road And those who've gone before us line the way Cheering on the faithful, encouraging the weary Their lives a stirring testament to God's sustaining grace Surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses Let us run the race not only for the prize But as those who've gone before us Let us leave to those behind us The heritage of faithfulness passed on through godly lives Oh may all who come behind us find us faithful May the fire of our devotion light their way May the footprints that we leave lead them to believe And the lives we live inspire them to obey Oh may all who come behind us find us faithful After all our hopes and dreams have come and gone And our children sift through all we've left behind May the clues that they discover and the memories they uncover Become the light that leads them to the road we each must find

Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth. I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old: Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us. We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.

Report from Preacher Jong Longcanaya

"And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord." -Acts 11:21 Indeed, God's hand was upon us during our first outreach anniversary celebration here in Singapore. God gave us 70 in attendance with 23 FTVs. We greeted our attendees with glad fellowship, godly singing and great testimonies. Heaven sent us a great revival through the preaching of Dr. Ed and Preacher Jess. God showed Himself mighty at our anniversary. He deserves all the glory. The victory was even sweeter knowing that it took a great deal of praying and begging for God’s power, and working from God's people. The Revival Meeting last July 17, the 24-hr Prayer vigil last August 1, and the 2-week round-the-clock Prayer vigil which started last August 15--all played a huge part to the success that God gave us; not to mention the prayers of CBBC-San Pedro and all the fellowshipping missions and churches. After the event, we took the time to enjoy fellowship with Dr. Ed and his company through a post-anniversary retreat. It was really a great time of food, fun, fellowship, and fired-up preaching! In our last night, our beloved Pastor encouraged us to continue serving and glorifying the Lord as we prepare for the 2nd anniversary. Surely, we will continue by God's grace. We will continue to seek brethren. We will continue to serve--we will be doing a lot of follow-ups, praying that there would be fruits that will remain after the anniversary. We will continue to share--there's a lot of souls hungry for the Gospel here in Singapore. Please pray for us, and pray with us. God bless your hearts. To God be the glory!
