When people find out that I’m an Orangetheory Coach, the follow-up question is usually, “What exactly is Orangetheory?” At that point I get overwhelmed with excitement as I try to explain just how amazing it is in just a few words. Let’s address the fact that joining a gym, especially for the first time, can be very intimidating. You may feel overwhelmed by the idea of working out around others. You may feel too distracted to effectively focus on your workout. I understand. I had the same feelings when I got started. I’ve learned, however, that in a good gym community, everyone is there with a common, positive purpose. People are focused on achieving their personal goals and therefore are very supportive of one another. Remember, if this is the beginning of your journey, you won’t be alone! Everyone has to take the first step at one point or another, and now it’s time to take yours. Once you’ve planted your feet, the journey is inevitable! Arguably one of the most exciting elements of the Orangetheory experience is the ever-changing 60-minute workout. It’s a way of life at Orangetheory that our members know very well. The daily workout is always a complete surprise, and you won’t encounter the same routine twice! That’s right - all you have to do is book your class, change into your workout gear, step into your favorite running shoes and walk through the door. We’ll take it from there - and you will always be greeted by a coach who truly believes in you and is willing and ready to take every single step of your journey with you. As you build a relationship with our studio staff, you’ll quickly learn that your health, and well-being, and personal goals are important to us. Every
member of our team will encourage, support, and celebrate your journey. Stepping into Orangetheory is like walking into another world. Bathed in a warm orange glow from the studio lights, the atmosphere is drenched with positive energy. It is undeniable that many goals are chased and conquered in the studio. It’s easy to sense the excitement and confidence in the room as each member walks in, because they know that they’re doing exactly what needs to be done to get where they want to be. During your Orangetheory workout, you’ll find yourself pushing limits that you didn’t even know were there. Music provides the heartbeat as you work through the 5 heart rate zones. Your coach will always be there to deliver a dose of personal motivation, right when it is needed the most. If there is more inside of you, our high-energy atmosphere will inspire you to dig deep and pull it out. Through live demonstrations and hands-on assistance, your coach will also help you to maintain safe and proper technique. Remember, growth happens right at the other side of a challenge - and that’s exactly what you’ll find here. The feeling of accomplishment that follows an Orangetheory workout is hard to put into words. You will feel as though you just conquered the day with confidence and purpose. Knowing that all of your hard work will manifest itself as growth on the other side makes it easier to stick with a consistent routine.
