News Activate Coast and Countryside Update After securing the funding through Sport England and other key partners we are really excited to be in the second year of our three year project. This means that we are able to continue offering our most popular recreational opportunities as well as new sporting activities through existing and new countryside hubs. Irrespective of the activity or whether you are new or old to our scheme, our overall aim remains the same: To get people active and enjoying their countryside on a regular basis.

Save time, go online! Now we have so many events taking place all year round we have made it easier to find the right event for you. We have separate monthly listings for all events happening at Moors Valley as well as those taking place away from the park. There is also a new search facility for all events of a particular type regardless of where they are located. No matter which method you use, there are plenty of events to choose from and the great news is you will soon be able to book your places online. For more details go to www.moors-valley.co.uk/events

Booking Sessions It is important for people to pre-book sessions. This can be done in three ways: Online – coming soon www.moors-valley.co.uk/events Phone – call the Health and Activity Team on 01425 480811 In Person – at the Moors Valley Country Park reception desk. Please remember to book otherwise sessions may end up being cancelled due to low participant numbers.

Calling all Volunteers Our Health Walks and Health Rides are volunteer led and, without our dedicated team of walk and cycle leaders, these events would simply not exist. If you are interested in becoming a qualified leader then please call the Health and Activity Team on 01425 480811. Training courses for volunteers are FREE and are primarily held at Moors Valley Country Park.

Social Networking You can stay up to date with all of our events by finding us on Facebook at ActivateCoastandCountryside and following us on Twitter @Activate_ced. Don’t be afraid to share your fun experience by hash tagging #ActivateCED
