Rita, “Nan” was given her wings to ﬂy home on Holy Thursday. Nan was the most fun, lively little ﬁrey spirit that anyone would have been happy to know. Her favorite color was lavender, had a green thumb like no other and was always in her garden (or yours) February 6, 1942 – March 2, 2017 tending to her garden of roses, (also her favorite). Strong and feisty, Nan always loved her entire family with all of her being. She was a little (4ft 8”) rebel grandma, a spitfire and a realist, who gave it to you straight.

One of her favorite things, was reading the Thrifty Nickel every Thursday. Rita, “Nan”, will be missed forever.
