Hello to all of my sisters and brothers in Christ Jesus. Most of you know that once a year I have been asked to insert my testimony so that new readers can see how and why God allowed me to start Signs, Wonders and Miracles Magazine. So guess what? This is the issue that I am going to share with you all about the wonderful miracle that the Lord has done in my life! Page 7 to be exact! Please visit me on WWW.SWMMAG.COM and give us your praise report! I believe that people need to tell the world about the miracles that God is doing in their lives! There are so many people that do not know that God is real! This is an outlet for the world to know how GOOD GOD IS! Therefore this magazine is a free quarterly magazine to the public, this way not only Christians will know, but people of different religions, nations, and backgrounds will know that JESUS is the only one who died for all mankind, then three days later God raised Jesus from the dead, and He now sits at His Fathers right hand in heaven! ( Acts 7:55-56 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.) THE TUMOR IS GONE! By Tamara Cornelius
fast with a few others praying with us that weekend. I had attended a church event that Friday night where a pastor's wife had called me from my seat. She began to pray and prophesied over my future. I’ve never met her before, but God had shared things with her that He had already shown me! I cried because that assured me that it wasn’t my time to die. I never told her a thing about what I was going through, so I knew she was from God.

In October 2005 my family doctor sent me to Mt. Carmel Hospital for some x-rays/cat scans. On that Friday my husband and I got a phone call, telling us that the results showed a cyst in my sinuses in the forehead. The hospital told me to come back that following Monday. I remember how I dropped to my knees and prayed to God. I told God that I didn’t want to be cut on anymore. (I had 3 surgeries in the past for tumors in my uterus) I told God that I knew that there was nothing too big for Him! I knew that God could take that growth out of my head. I told God that even if He chose not to heal me, I will still love Him! My husband and I began to pray and
to his surprise, they found nothing! The tumor was GONE! Not only that, I had no more pain! Our family doctor had a hard time believing that God had healed me, and that the tumor just disappeared without a trace. So that week the doctor sent me to another specialist at another Hospital. After the second specialist's exam, he told me that there was nothing there, and then asked me why did I even have to go through another exam when it was gone! I have been off of medication, and I am completely healed and I have not had any more problems since 2005. Our God is a wonderful God and there is no problem that is too big for our God. Just believe and do not doubt!

When that Monday came around, my mother drove me to the hospital that morning. I was nervous about going back to the hospital, but that day I remember that I was in no pain at all. One we arrived at Mt. Carmel Hospital, the specialist explained to me, “The person who called you didn’t want to scare you over the phone.” So I then asked him, “Whatever you found, you still have to remove it don’t you?” He looked at me and replied, “Yes!” The specialist allowed me to see the pictures of the scans and then told me that it was a large tumor. He continued to say in fact that it was so large that it had to be a large cancerous tumor because he had never seen anything that large without cancer! They wanted to find out how they would remove the tumor. So he then examined me, and

FAITH TO SING AGAIN! By Da'dra Crawford Greathouse
Ever since I could remember, I could sing. There was music all
around me as a child. My family was musically talented. It was the norm for us. My mother said I was 3 years old when I lead my first song with the church choir in a small church in Columbus, Ohio (my hometown). They had to put me on the offering table to stand on because I was so little. As I got older, I began to notice that there was something special about singing. When I sang, I felt a strong presence of God. I felt His anointing. And, I noticed that others were experiencing the same thing. As a child, I knew that I wasn’t just singing for singing’s sake. I was called to sing. God created me to use the voice He gave me for His purposes and plans. So, I guess it comes as no surprise that the enemy launched an attack to silence me forever. After all, the bible does say that the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy. I became very aware of this fact when I became an adult.
After graduating from college, God blessed me to get married, record several CD’s and tour all over the World. During our 5th year of marriage, the Lord blessed me again when I gave birth to my oldest son. I couldn’t have been happier. Having a baby will change your life. But, I had no idea how greatly mine would change. On a routine checkup at the doctor’s office, I told him that I didn’t feel like myself. I was extremely tired all the time. I would wake up at 8 a.m. and need to take a nap just a few hours later. I was gaining weight and was feeling miserable physically. My physician told me that it was all a part of having just given birth. All moms are exhausted and feel that way. My doctor didn’t realize that my thyroid was beginning to severely malfunction. My thyroid levels were declining at a rapid pace and I was beginning to develop a goiter. That happens when the thyroid (which is normally very small in size) begins to grow. My thyroid was the
size of my fist on the right side and even larger on the left. I looked like I had a football in my throat. The doctor put me on thyroid medication everyday to see if that would help. But, it didn’t. During a consultation with my endocrinologist, I found out this was more serious than I thought. The doctor said, “Your thyroid is so large and we don’t know how to stop it from getting larger. You are in danger of it eventually blocking your windpipe and killing you. “ When I asked what my options were, I was stunned to hear the answer. The doctor said, “We could give you radiation treatments. But, it wouldn’t shrink the size of your goiter. Furthermore, you would have to be away from your family after the treatment because you don’t want them to be exposed to the radiation.” I thought to myself, “Ok, you want me to take this radiation into my body, but you don’t want anyone to be exposed to it?” That sounded dangerous to me. The next words that came from her mouth left me speechless. She said, “You have no other option but for us to remove it surgically. The only problem is that you probably will not be able to sing again and if by some miracle you could, you will most likely lose your range on both ends.” I couldn’t believe what I’d just heard. She went on to say that we didn’t have a lot of time and that I would need to find a surgeon immediately. So, I scheduled an appointment with a recommended surgeon.
I will never forget what the meeting with the first potential surgeon was like. I walked down a cold, narrow white-walled hallway to a room where we would meet. He walked in and I noticed that as he shook my hand and sat down, he had this look of shock on his face. I don’t know if he was trying to hide it, but it was obvious that he was taken back by my appearance. I explained to him that I was a singer and I didn’t just sing for my personal enjoyment or a hobby. I told him this was my profession, ministry and calling. I also told him that I had recently been offered a position leading worship at Lakewood Church in Houston, TX where Joel Osteen is the pastor. They were waiting on me to move there, so losing my voice wasn’t really an option. And, losing my range wasn’t an option for me either because I would be carrying most of the soprano parts. After telling him everything I had been through with the other doctors and what all

the biopsies and ultrasounds showed, I asked if he would be willing to perform my surgery. I will never forget his response. He looked at me and said just one word…“No.” And then, he got up quickly and walked out the door. He left me sitting there in such desperation. I got up and ran after him. I yelled down the hall, “Well, do you know anyone else that can help me?” He responded, “No.” as he disappeared around the corner. I never saw him again. I walked back down the hall and out to the parking garage and couldn’t stop myself from crying. I just couldn’t figure out why this was happening to me. I have served God all my life and tried to be faithful. I wondered what happened. But, I know that it rains on the just as well as the unjust. We all have trials and tests that we must face. It may not seem fair, but we all face challenges that challenge our faith. I don’t blame the surgeon for bolting. After all, my situation had malpractice lawsuit written all over it. However, time was passing quickly and I needed answers and a surgeon fast! When I returned home, I decided to pray as I sat in front of my computer. I asked the Lord to lead me as I searched on the Internet for a surgeon. I had no other choice and I didn’t know who to talk to. I don’t remember what I typed as I searched, but I recall a name sticking out to me as I scrolled through the long list of surgeons. I found a man that had invented a procedure that enabled him to reverse vocal chord paralysis in some patients. I thought, “That’s the doctor I need to call.” Just in case my endocrinologist was correct in my diagnosis I wanted to be in the hands of someone that could undo any damage. I scheduled an appointment with a doctor at the Vanderbilt Voice Clinic in Nashville. When I arrived, I noticed just how different the experience was from my previous encounter with a potential surgeon. I was greeted warmly by the staff and treated royally. When they called my name and escorted me back to a small room to meet the doctor, I just knew that this meeting was going to be different, but I didn’t know if this man would agree to perform my surgery. After telling him everything I told the previous surgeon, he looked at me with the sweetest smile and said, “Alright. We will see you at the beginning of the year.” I asked him, “Is that it? You are going to do the operation?” He said, ”Yes.” He also told me he was going to have another surgeon join him in the operating room. He reassured me that I was going to be fine. For the first time in quite awhile, I felt hope rising within. The bible says that hope deferred makes the heart sick. I understand this because when you feel hopeless, you feel miserable and weak. It drains your strength. And, we know that the joy of the Lord is your strength. So, if the enemy can inspire hopelessness in you, then he has a great chance of you becoming weak. And, if you become weak, you become vulnerable to his attacks and schemes.

Five months after giving birth to my second son, I went in to have this operation. I prayed and had others praying with and for me. I also actively prophesied over my life. I would say out loud that God was going to bring me through this operation successfully and I would be able to sing again with my full range. But, my declarations would be severely tested. Immediately following the operation, I was wheeled into the recovery room. And, to my amazement, I could talk. When I discovered that I could speak, tears began to fall down my face. I even picked up the phone and called my brother. He didn’t recognize my voice. What joy filled my soul and I rejoiced because God had granted my miracle. But, my joy was short lived when I tried to sing. To my dismay, I couldn’t physically sing a note. I sounded more like a seal. Never in my life, had I heard such sounds come from my mouth. I was horrified. At this point, I had to make a decision. Either I could give up and sink to the bottom of an ocean of grief and self-pity, or I could believe, rise higher and surf the waves. Faith without works is dead. So, everyday I would try to sing a note. It would sound horrible and tears would fill my pillow, but I would try again the next day. When it didn’t seem as if anything was happening, I began to hear these thoughts. “What if the doctors were right? See, I told you it was over. There is nothing you can do about it now. It is over.” I had to actively cast down these thoughts because they weren’t the truth. They were all lies from the enemy. He wanted me to doubt the ability of Christ to heal me. But, I would only persist until one day, after weeks of trying to sing, it happened. I was able to sing softly. Miraculously, after 2 months, I could sing again. After 6 months, I had full use of my range. God granted me the miracle that I believed for. Other surgeons have explained that what happened to me was miraculous because patients with smaller goiters can lose their voices after this operation. As a matter of fact, I met several people right before my surgery that told me they had the same procedure and never regained their voices. One lady even told me of how she had to get out of the choir at her church because her voice never returned. And, as sad as I was for her, I had to believe that God was going to do something different for me. Why would God have these amazing opportunities in front of me if He had no intentions of me experiencing them? I had to believe that He would bring me through this very tough situation. In Matthew 9, Jesus passed by 2 blind men and they followed Him. They asked Him to have mercy on them. And Jesus asked if they believed He was able to heal them and they said, “Yes, Lord.” Then, Jesus told them that according to their faith, be it done unto them. Jesus was moved by their faith in His healing power. I believe we need to be just like these 2 men.

Our faith should accompany our actions, as the men displayed their faith and works by following after Jesus until they received their healing. What are you facing today that is so challenging that it requires faith? What can you do in your actions to show you believe you already have what you have asked for? You see, I believe that if I only believed God would heal me and bring me through my surgery, but didn’t go to therapy and didn’t attempt to practice everyday, I doubt that I would have experienced my breakthrough. Here is what I learned from my experience: Faith without works is dead. I had to believe as if everything depended on God and work as if it all depended upon me. I also learned that healing and breakthroughs don’t always come easy. We will have a battle in our minds. We will have to win the fight over defeating attitudes and thoughts by constantly casting them down and replacing them with the word of God. One other thing that I learned is that there is power in what you say. I continued to speak the opposite of what my doctor spoke. I replaced those negative declarations with declarations of victory and faith. Those were the words that needed to permeate the atmosphere of my life. We received a call a few days ago from a man that manages
one of the Free Public Access TV stations we air on. He said that his brother had been addicted to heroin for 10 years. That he had tried everything to help him. He said about 2 months ago his brother watched a Step By Step Ministry TV program on the subject of healing. During the program God set him free from heroin and he has been clean for 2 months. Thank you Jesus! "The Anointing Breaks the Yoke" Healing at First Christian Church During the alter ministry a sister came up for prayer. You could see the pain as she spoke. She had been in this pain for four years. She had major back surgeries and was at the end of her rope. As she cried out to God and we prayed with her, she bent over and touched her toes, as she straightened up you could see a difference in her countenance. The pain was not visible on her face, she said as she rose,"The pain is gone. The pain is gone. It doesn't hurt anymore!" As she walked around you could see the joy on her face. She went outside and walked up and down the steps. She yelled "There is no pain, Pastor it's gone, I am healed!" A woman came up for prayer. She was having problems with her knee and back. I bent down to start praying for her knee first. When I touched her knee the Lord gave me the scripture in Acts 3:1-8, which is also a song. So I began quoting it. Peter and John went to pray, they met a lame man on the way, he was begging for alms, they said we have none, but this is what Peter did say. Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have
give I to thee, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. Then I asked her what did he do? She said he rose up and walked. And I said then what did he do? She said he went walking and she barely finished saying it when she started jumping up and down and praising God, walking, and leaping and praising God. There was such joy on her face. Praise God she was healed. Then the joy of the Lord came on her and she was laughing and it flowed on to me and I began laughing. Our God is an awesome God. Hitchhiker Healed During a vacation, I felt led of the Lord to pick up a hitch hiker. His leg could not bend and he had a hard time getting in my truck. He said he was going to a bar a few miles away. I did not want to take him to a bar but I felt God was in it so off we went. He told me he had been hurt 18 years earlier and that's why his leg would not bend. As we went down the road, God spoke to me to tell him that God had not given up on his leg. So I told him. We went down the road a little farther and I was impressed to tell him again. About that time I felt to tell him how God healed me of an incurable blood disease. As I finished my testimony he said this is where I get out. As he got out I said God has not given up on you and I'm going to pray for you. He got out and headed toward the bar, stopped, turned around and came back to my truck. He said when you pray, pray for my back, the nerves were damaged and that is why my leg does not bend. As he walked back to the bar I jumped out of the truck and said I want to pray for you. He said now, right here on the street in front of this bar? I said Yes! He said what will you do? I said, I will lay my hands on you and ask God the Father and His son in Jesus name to set you free, to heal you. He said "Do it". So I prayed. I felt God's power all around. After praying I took him by the hand and said I believe God is going to do something for you. I went back to my truck where my father-in-law was waiting and watching. He said what did you do to that man? I said what do you mean? He said the man just went past the bar and is going back in the direction we brought him from. The Power of God kept him out of that bar! At that time I looked in my rear mirror and saw the man going down the road. Guess what he was doing! He was shaking and bending that leg that had been damaged for 18 years. The power of God set Him FREE! God sent a man 500 miles, to pick this fellow up and pray for him. That's the love and power of God. I was a very bad person, and I was a big-big smoker and drinker. I
had a lot of bad habits in my life, and I was also stealing drugs and wears. I was also a big fighter; many times the police put me in jail and there was not any hope in my life. I was drinking a lot for my happiness, but there was no hope and happiness in my sinful life. People called me a Christian, but I was only a Christian on Christmas Day. Then yesterday, because on Christmas and Easter days I go to the church, no prayer in my life no reading the Bible. I always think bad; many times I was thinking that the Lord will not forgive me. DOES GOD HEAL ANIMALS?
We hear about people being healed, but how come no one
really talks about animals being healed? Does God care about our pets? Of course! My husband and I bought a South American Red Footed Tortoise when she was 2 years old. Even though she was a tortoise, she was a sister to our dog Michael. They got along together great, they ran through the house and even went outside together to play in the grass…well Michael the dog ran, Sam the tortoise didn’t run at all of course, she did walk fast if you had an orange or a tomato in your hand though! We raised Sam for about 7 years and she became spoiled! Having her very own bedroom and her own radio playing her favorite Christian music every day.
She only came out of her room to get exercise and to get her daily bath. Sam loved the kisses she got from her brother when she would wake up in the morning and walk through the house, but it just wasn’t the same. Though she had it made there was still something missing. She needed another tortoise to hang around with. I didn’t want the headaches of raising another tortoise, but I would see her crying at times. (Yes they cry too!) I went to sleep one night and I had a dream that she needed to be around others like her because she was very unhappy. I woke up from the dream and my mother helped me find someone who knew Nancy Lockard aka “THE TURTLE LADY.” Now Sam is happy and has lots of friends like her! Sam travels now with “The Turtle Lady!” What’s Sam’s new stage name? “Tammy”!! Not funny at all. That’s my nickname! (smile) This is a pet miracle; Nancy Lockard was very small when she found a box turtle that she named "TUTU", who had been smashed by a car and was almost dead. There were no turtle doctors in the early '60's so she used Vaseline, Band-aids and lots of little girl prayers to heal the creature. The turtle survived and became "Turtle Girl's" best friend. God healed that turtle! She carried it in a basket everywhere she went and it lived with her until she was a grown-up!
People began bringing her turtles. The sick ones, well ones, cute ones, funny ones. "Little Turtle Girl" got older, and she still had turtles! She got married, and she still had turtles! She and her husband were blessed with four beautiful children, and she still had turtles! The children grew and had their own pets, but the little Turtle Girl STILL HAD HER TURTLES! No one really knows when the LITTLE TURTLE GIRL became THE TURTLE LADY! Now Nancy travels everywhere with her turtles and reptiles. She visits schools, events, libraries all over to share over 30 different type of animals with people. For Nancy, the visits are an opportunity to educate so many children about wildlife and how to respect it. Every animal Nancy owns is completely domesticated; none are from the wild. My husband and I went to visit Sam, we noticed right away that she loves her new family. There were all types of tortoises and all sizes too! Sam lives in her own habitat now where she built her own bed! My eyes started to tear as I saw how Sam has it made! The best thing is, I can visit anytime, and she can be with her own kind as well as the very special woman who loves her just as much as I do.
Don’t tell me that God does not answer prayers about sick animals because I know different! God is the maker and creator of all living things! Why wouldn’t God want to heal your pet or any animal for that matter. There is a pastor I heard of that had a Sheppard dog that died after being ran over by a car, he prayed for the dog and the dog was healed completely! If you all know Jane Crouch from TBN, you would also know that God has used her prayers to bring back to life a bird that had died! Yes you heard right! God is so awesome that He can do all that He wants to do. Its all in His timing! What miracle do you need from God? For you or someone else, and it can even be for your pet! Have faith and believe.
