A Common Thread’s Kids Camps & Classes are open to students from any school district, and offered through the Lake Oswego School District Community School. This trimester we’re offering classes for beginning stitchers ages 8 and up featuring fun sewing experiences that result in confidence and creativity as well as great gifts and useful items. Explore quilt design in a more intuitive way! Learn to cut without rulers, creating gentle curves and nice design lines as you choose the project you'll create: one design for a small wall hanging or pillow; four similar images set in a four patch setting for a wall quilt; or a larger quilt with no repeated blocks. Follow Jean's lead and use solids with the interjection of two or three printed fabrics, or all solids to focus on color relationships and value.
