Those of you who are interested and have your Section Chief's support for participating but are on a fee-for-service, non-ARP contract, may wish to apply for a Professional Development Grant from the Department of Pediatrics.

We are still accepting expressions of interest to participate in the next Mentorship program. The program has two parts. The first is a Professional Development curriculum which involves nine monthly 3-hour sessions held on the first Friday of each month starting in September.

Apply in writing (email is adequate) to Dr. Val Kirk indicating your interest in participating in this program. A limited number of grants are available for up to $4000 for this professional development opportunity - please apply early if you are interested. We look forward to working with you and supporting you in your career development. On the next page you can see last year’s Mentors and their Mentees along with their Projects.

The second component involves the mentee selecting a project they would like to complete in the nine months (we help you to define and refine your project), and pairing you with a mentor to help guide you in your project. Projects can be from any of the clinical, education, service or research domains that are part of your usual activities. Attached please see the listing of projects that last year's participants in the program worked on. If you are interested in participating, or have questions about the program, please contact Dr. Val Kirk.
