Lending a Helping Hand: A School in India for Children Who Are Blind
At the Calcutta Blind School, founded by Shree Lal Behari Lal in 1894 in the populous city of Kolkata (previously known as Calcutta), the students are encouraged to become independent learners. The teachers and administrators work extremely hard, with minimal funding, to make a difference in the lives of these children.
