Get in the Game... The Athens-Clarke County Tennis Center is now open for play. The facility accommodates year-round use for open play, leagues, instructional programs, clinics and tournaments. The center features 12 lighted, hard-surface courts with viewing and staging areas, a covered pavilion, restrooms, and office and meeting space facilities. The Tennis Center was funded through SPLOST 2005. Part of Southeast Clarke Park, the center is located at 4460 Lexington Road and accessed either by a dedicated driveway off Lexington Road just past the park’s main entrance or by pedestrian pathway from the park. A variety of tennis programs for children, teens, and adults are available. Take a moment and review the exciting opportunities listed on pages 19-21 of this guide. The Center is open Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., and Sunday from 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. Drop-in play is also available; call 706-6133991 to make your reservation.
