* Over third semester of 2013 Regulated Institutions experienced an active client’s increase of 643,580 (11.8%); In absolute terms, Banco Solidario in Ecuador was the institution in this group that experienced the highest increase during period with 249,882 clients (179.0%), the large increase was due to the merger with Unibanco, made as of April 2013. Furthermore, this group grew its active portfolio by US$731.6 million (10.9%). And Banco Pichincha in Ecuador was the institution in this group that increased the most in this variable: 301.8 million (44.3%).

* At the end of September of 2013 the Service Companies, increased clients by 3,386 (2.3%). In absolute terms, Santander Microcredito in Brazil was the institution that experienced growth, with 1,886 active clients. As far as active portfolio, this group decreased at a rate of ‐5.8% (‐US$7.9 million). And Santander Microcredito was the institution that recorded decrease in this variable: ‐US$8.7 million (‐7.5%).

* NGO active clients decreased by 12,348 (‐5.4%). In absolute terms, Genesis Empresarial in Guatemala experienced the highest decrease with 15,839 active clients (‐9.3%). As far as active portfolio, this group decrease US$9.1 million (‐7.2%) and also Genesis Empresarial was the institution that recorded the most decrease in this variable: ‐US$9.2 million (‐9.8%).

* Partners in Africa and Asia recorded a growth of 37,657 clients (21.6%). In absolute terms, Swadhaar in India experienced the highest increase, with 20,794 clients. As far as active portfolio, this group reflected a increasing of US$21.3 million (21.1%). And AMC in China was the institution of the group that recorded the growth in this variable: US$6.4 million (62.2%).

The group of Regulated Institutions experienced an increase in its portfolio at risk (1.08 points). Furthermore, its indicator is above the weighted average of all institutions by 0.02 points. Service companies decreased ‐0.27 percentage points, which places this group above the total weighted average by 0.15 points. The group of NGOs showed an increased by 0.61 points during this period. It remains below the weighted average of the total portfolio at risk by 1.78 points. The group of partners in Africa and Asia increased its portfolio at risk by 0.21 points and it still remains 0.34 points above the weighted average.
