* Starting in June, Banco Pichincha/Ecuador that includes Credife data became part of this group. Over 2012, institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean increased their active client by 310,403 clients (9.9%). In absolute terms, Banco Compartamos in Mexico was the institution in this group with the largest increase: 160,588 active clients (6.9%). Furthermore, this group grew its active portfolio by US$892.7 million (26.0%), and Mibanco/Peru was the institution in this group with the highest increase in this variable: US$302.8 million (19.5%).
ACCION ‐ Partners AFRICA AND ASIA PARTNERS INSTITUTIONS ‐ ACTIVE BORROWERS AND PORTFOLIO LAST 12 MONTHS
* Partners in Africa increased by 14,239 active clients (20.2%). In absolute terms, Akiba in Tanzania was the institution with the highest increase in this variable by 5,212 clients (23.9%). On the other hand, this group increased its active portfolio by US$14.7 million (19.7%) and also Akiba was the institution that increased more: US$7.3 million (20.0%). *Partners in Asia grew by 37,064 active clients (46.0%). In absolute terms, the increase in this variable occurred mainly by the growth of Swadhaar (India) with 21,517 clients (30.6%). Furthermore, this group increase its active portfolio by US $12.5 million (66.3%) and AMC was the institution in this group that increased in this variable the most: 4.4 million (73.4%).

By December of 2012, the group of Institutions of Latin America and the Caribbean showed an increase in their portfolio at risk of 0.45 points; it remains below the weighted average of all institutions by 0.04 points. The group Partners in Africa increased It’s indicator by 0.04 percentage points. And, it is the only group that remains above the total weighted average (2.12 points above). The group of partners in Asia showed an increase of 0.40 points. However, it stays 0.92 points below the weighted average of the total risk indicator.
