* Over 2012, institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean increased their active client by 47,720 clients (1.3%). In absolute terms, Mibanco in Peru was the institution in this group with the largest increase: 20,619 active clients (4.7%). Furthermore, this group grew its active portfolio by US$280.9 million (6.2%), and Compartamos was the institution in this group with the highest increase in this variable: US$114.1 million (13.4%).
ACCION International Partners AFRICA AND ASIA PARTNERS INSTITUTIONS ‐ ACTIVE BORROWERS AND PORTFOLIO LAST 12 MONTHS
* Partners in Africa increased by 541 active clients (0.8%). In absolute terms, Akiba/Tanzania was the institution with the highest increase in this variable by 815 clients (1.3%). In contrast, this group decreased its active portfolio by US$1.0 million (‐1.4%) and Akiba was the only institution that increased: US$1.9 million (5.4%). *Partners in Asia grew by 6,009 active clients (7.5%). In absolute terms, the increase in this variable occurred mainly by the growth of Swadhaar (India) with 9,845 clients (14%). Furthermore, this group grew its active portfolio by US$1.1 million (6.1%) and Swadhaar also was the institution in this group that increased in this variable the most: 1.7 million (14%).

By First quarterly of 2012, the group of Institutions of Latin America and the Caribbean showed an increase in their portfolio at risk of 0.34 points; it remains below the weighted average of all institutions by 0.06 points. The group Partners in Africa increased It’s indicator by 1.77 percentage points. However, it is the only group that remains above the total weighted average (4.18 points above). The group of partners in Asia showed an increase of 0.41 points. However, it stays 1.7 points below the weighted average of the total risk indicator.
