Coleg Ceredigion’s Strategic Plan 2012-14 is live and dynamic. It provides a clear direction for the college over the next three years, whilst enabling us to respond flexibly to change. The plan builds on the college’s continuing success as the only Further Education College in Ceredigion. The success of this Strategic Plan lies with us all and our commitment to our learners which is ultimately reflected in the mission statement ‘Fulfilling Potential, Changing Lives’. Mae Cynllun Strategol Coleg Ceredigion 2012-14 yn fyw ac yn ddeinamig ac yn rhoi cyfeiriad clir i’r coleg dros y tair blynedd nesaf tra’n ein galluogi i fedru ymateb yn hyblyg i newid. Mae’r Cynllun yn adeiladu ar lwyddiant parhaol y coleg fel yr unig goleg Addysg Bellach yng Ngheredigion. Mae llwyddiant y Cynllun hwn yn ddibynnol arnom ni i gyd a’n hymrwymiad i’n dysgwyr a adlewyrchir yn natganiad cenhadaeth y coleg sef ‘Cyflawni Potensial, Newid Bywydau’. Arwain a chyfranogi mewn rhwydweithiau dysgu deinamig er mwyn cynyddu dewis y dysgwr a gwella canlyniadau gan arwain at well cyfleoedd cyflogaeth ac addysg uwch. 4. Sefydlu’r coleg yn gadarn fel sefydliad dwyieithog blaenllaw lle caiff y Gymraeg a’r Saesneg eu gwerthfawrogi, eu parchu a’u trin yn gyfartal. 5. Darparu amgylchedd o ansawdd uchel lle caiff adnoddau ffisegol a dynol eu defnyddio mewn modd cynaliadwy a chost effeithiol. 6. Seilio datblygiadau strategol ar arweinyddiaeth gadarn ar bob lefel gan gynnwys y corff llywodraethol.


From 2012 to 2014 we will: 1. Provide high quality teaching and learning. n Continue to evolve a curriculum that meets the needs of learners, employers and the community. n Implement a Teaching and Learning Strategy that utilises a range of delivery methods, including technologies, appropriate to individual learner needs. n Assess and evaluate our teaching every year to ensure it meets our targets for improvement and learner success to a minimum grading of ‘good’. n Implement a three year learner focussed staff development programme that enables staff to strive towards sector leading practice, update their professional skills and keep abreast of new developments in teaching and learning.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES

2. Support learners to maximise their potential. n Implement a cross institutional literacy strategy to improve learners’ numeracy and literacy levels across the institution. n Provide comprehensive and personalised curriculum and career based advice and guidance from the time learners make contact with the college until they leave. n Foster personal development through mentoring, counselling, careers guidance, and tutorial support. n Offer a service to all learners which will support them in achieving their learning outcomes.

3. Lead and participate in dynamic learning networks to broaden learner choice, and improve outcomes leading to increased employment and higher education opportunities. n Lead strategic alliances via Memoranda of Understanding and service level agreements with: n Groups of schools on a geographical basis. n HE institutions within the region. n FE College Alliances.


n Further develop links with national, regional and local employers, Sector Skills Councils and the Local Education Authority.

4. Firmly establish the college as a leading bilingual institution where Welsh and English are valued, respected, and treated equally. n Increase and actively promote the

opportunities for learners to undertake their studies bilingually or through the medium of Welsh and increase the number of learners accessing the opportunities and achieving successful outcomes. n Ensure that the college has a strong Welsh ethos and that learners, staff and members of the community are able to communicate in either Welsh or English at every opportunity. n Ensure that all learners leaving the college are able to contribute fully in a bilingual community. n Further develop the Welsh language and bilingual skills of all staff.

5. Provide a high quality college environment which utilises human and physical resources sustainably and cost effectively. n Minimise our environmental footprint through the setting of annual targets. n Ensure value for money in the procurement of allgoods and services. n Ensure the effective utilisation of all physical resources. n Identify and maximise the potential of all college staff.

6. Underpin all strategic developments through strong leadership at all levels including the Governing Body. n Lead by example and through effective and

open communication throughout the institution. n Maintain financial viability to enable the College to fulfil its strategic aims. n Continually review the effectiveness of organisational structures with defined roles and responsibilities to ensure they are fit for purpose. n Ensure that all policies and procedures are updated and implemented in line with best practice and current legislation.

Cynnal dysgwyr i’w galluogi i gyrraedd eu llawn botensial. n Gweithredu strategaeth llythrennedd ar draws y sefydliad i wella lefelau rhifedd a llythrennedd dysgwyr ar draws y sefydliad. n Darparu cyngor a chyfarwyddid eang ac unigol ar gwricwlwm a gyrfaoedd o’r amser y mae dysgwr yn cysylltu â’r coleg i’r amser y mae’n gadael. n Magu datblygiad personol trwy fentora, cwnsela, cyngor gyrfaoedd a chefnogaeth diwtorial. n Cynnig gwasanaeth i bob dysgwr a fydd yn eu cefnogi wrth gyrraedd eu deilliannau dysgu.

3. Arwain a chymryd rhan mewn rhwydweithiau dysgu deinamig er mwyn ehangu dewis y dysgwr, a gwella canlyniadau gan arwain at well cyfleoedd ym meysydd cyflogaeth ac addysg uwch. n Arwain cynghreiriau strategol trwy Femoranda Cyd-ddealltwriaeth a chytundebau lefel gwasanaeth gyda: n Grwpiau o ysgolion ar sail ddaearyddol. n Sefydliadau AU o fewn y rhanbarth. n Cynghreiriau Colegau AB.


n Datblygu ymhellach ein cysylltiadau gyda chyflogwyr cenedlaethol, rhanbarthol a lleol, Cynghorau Sgiliau Sector a’r Awdurdod Addysg Lleol.

4. Sefydlu’r coleg yn gadarn fel sefydliad dwyieithog blaenllaw lle caiff y Gymraeg a’r Saesneg eu gwerthfawrogi, eu parchu a’u trin yn gyfartal. n Cynyddu ac ymroi i hybu’r cyfleoedd i ddysgwyr

astudio yn ddwyieithog neu trwy gyfrwng y Gymraeg a chynyddu’r nifer o ddysgwyr sydd yn defnyddio’r cyfleoedd ac yn sicrhau canlyniadau llwyddiannus. n Sicrhau fod gan y coleg ethos Cymreig cryf a bod dysgwyr, staff ac aelodau’r gymuned yn medru cyfathrebu yn Gymraeg neu yn Saesneg ar bob cyfle. n Sicrhau bod dysgwyr wrth adael y coleg yn medru cyfrannu’n llawn mewn cymuned ddwyieithog. n Datblygu ymhellach sgiliau Cymraeg a dwyieithog staff.

5. Darparu amgylchedd o ansawdd uchel lle caiff adnoddau ffisegol a dynol eu defnyddio mewn modd cynaliadwy a chost effeithiol. n Lleihau ein hol troed amgylcheddol trwy osod targedau blynyddol. n Sicrhau gwerth am arian wrth gaffael nwyddau a gwasanaethau. n Sicrhau defnydd effeithiol o bob adnodd ffisegol. n Nodi a gwneud y mwyaf o botensial pob aelod o staff.
