The griddle-cake Once upon a time a grandmother and a grandfather. They lived a simple and happy life in their small, rustic cottage. One day, the woman decided to make a griddle-cake to her husband to have something to eat.

She mixed the flour, butter, eggs and honey in a bowl and carefully dusted the dough. She molded her cake as a man by putting raisins for her eyes and button nuts. Then she tucked her into the stove to bake.

Soon, she smelled so delicious, and the woman saw that the broth was ready. She went to take her out of the oven and, to her surprise, she came alive and jumped from the tray. - Do not eat me! cried the doughman and jumped out the window.


The woman and the man ran after him: "Stop it! Stop it! "They screamed after the cake, but she was faster than them

-Run, run as fast as you want! You can not catch me, I'm the griddle –cake - she laughed after them and continued to flee.


The pig joined the persecution, and now the three of them with the grandmother and grandfather wert

Then a cow crossed them. "Stop it," she called, "I want to eat you!" But the doughman was quicker again and overtook it with ease. - Run, run as fast as you want! You can not catch me, I'm the honeybee - she laughed after them and continued to flee.e running after the honeycomb. But she always managed to overtake them.


Not long after, they saw a horse. - Stop a little man! I want to eat you! the horse said, but the cake surpassed him. - Run, run as fast as you want! You can not catch me, I'm the honeybee - she laughed after them and continued to flee.

The horse joined the grandmother, the grandfather, the pig and the cow, but none of them could even get close to the griddle –cake

And she ran and laughed until she saw that they were approaching the river bank. "Oh no, they will now be able to catch me and eat me. Only if I could swim across the river, "she thought. Suddenly a fox approached her and said, "Let me help you! Jump on my back and I'll take you to the other side of the river.


The griddle-cake had no choice but to trust. She jumped on the back of the fox and crossed the river together.

As soon as they stepped on the opposite shore, the griddle –cake thanked the fox. But a second later, the fox opened her big mouth and swallowed the whole griddle –cake.
