Call for Abstracts


Image-guided interventions (IGI) is a new conference that addresses all aspects related to interventional radiology and related technical developments. At the conference, recent progress in medical imaging technology, CT-, MRI-, ultrasound and fluoroscopy-guided procedures are discussed.

Participants are highly encouraged to submit abstracts of their recent research and developments that fit into the scopes of the conference. The conference language and submission will be in German and English. After a peer-review process the authors will be notified about acceptance to present their submissions at the conference.

We invite contributions that explain progress in the development of instruments, such as catheters, RFA needles and sensoric devices. Improvements in planning and simulating interventions are also considered. Both application-oriented talks by users of the new technology as well as technically oriented talks by the developers of new technology are welcome. The conference is based on the joint medical technology activities at various faculties of the University of Magdeburg. These activities are summarized under the recently founded research campus STIMULATE in strong cooperation with SIEMENS AG Healthcare and the STIMULATE society that includes several research institutes and companies. Participants will have the opportunity to familiarize with modern facilities and take part in related training courses.
