OUR MISSION Supporting Independence, Inclusion and Employment
VISION To provide the highest quality support opportunities that are respectful of and responsive to each individual person’s preferences, need and values.
AW WAYS AW has a strong commitment to support equity: We prioritize and hold ourselves accountable for individuals support results. Our goal is to provide the best support, regardless of a person’s background needs. AW will perform a comprehensive services evaluation: It is important to identify and respond to support needs of all kinds, including making sure each person understands their outcome and has the necessary support through our Direct Support Professionals. AW has strong collaborative partnerships: AW will work closely with our local and state DD organizations. We also recognize our community organizations can provide additional support through relationship building, and resources. AW will work toward support continuity: Because improving outcomes across continuum of support and care has become a priority in the general overall health of a person, and quality of life. AW will engage individuals in their own support needs: For any of these initiatives to be effective, individuals must be active partners in their own support. DSP’s must encourage them to take control of their own support by providing them with the voice and the tools to do so. The best way to start: Be sure all services and support needs are explained in terms they understand, and that they feel comfortable asking questions and discussing support options with providers, all the time.
