This bubble diagram was created for a Design project. We were to clearly show the separation of public and private spaces in a community centre.

MOOD BOARDS

Used to show theme and concept, these mood boards are from a variety of projects, all a part of Design classes.

ABIGAIL DUFAULT | INDT2320-X01 | SEPT. 22.2017 | COMMUNITY CENTER MOOD BOARD

This mood board was created for the Wildrose Community Centre project in our third semester. I chose the word Aramente as my concept, an Ashari Elvish word meaning Noble Odyssey.

MOOD BOARDS

This mood board was created for a condo-hotel project in our first semester. The theme Murasakino means “purple in Japanese, which was the base of the color choices for this project.

This mood board was created for an Indian restaurant project in our last semester’s Design class. I wanted to use the vibrant colors found in Indian culture and integrate the spices their food is so well-known for.

SCHEMATIC TO FLOORPLAN TO RCP

These drawings were completed in AutoCAD for an Indian restaurant project in the last semester’s Design class. My focus was to ensure the RCP directly corresponded to the floorplan, and keeping the spaces consistent with the schematic plan.

DEMO FLOORPLAN TO NEW FLOORPLAN

These floorplans were from the Churchill Bathroom project in our second semester. We were to create a demolition plan, and then design a new space within the constraints given. These two plans show how the space changed from one phase to the next.

CUSTOM DETAILING

These drawings were for a detailing assignment from our third semester. We were instructed to locate a commercial location with a complicated feature wall and create accurate construction drawings for it. These were details from a feature wall at Yorica, a vegan ice cream parlour in London, England.

WILDROSE COMMUNITY CENTRE

This was a design class project in our third semester. We were to create a community centre that was inclusive and accessible to the whole community. I chose Aramente as my concept, an Ashari Elvish word meaning Noble Odyssey. The color choices and circular features are indicative of coming full circle throughout a journey at this centre.
