The well-established event has become a highlight on the crafts’ calendar, offering something for everyone, from hobbyists who potter in pottery to serious ceramicists, teachers, artists and collectors. The 2017 ICF features ceramicists from all over the world, it is a unique opportunity to see notable international ceramicists demonstrate their techniques and discuss their ideas and processes. Demonstrators include David Frith (Wales), Anabelí Díaz (Sweden), Huang Fei (China), Eddie Curtis (UK), Paul Young (UK), Zahed Taj Eddin (Syria), Charles Bound (UK), Sabine Classen (Germany), Jason Walker (USA), Ostinelli&Priest (UK), Antonella Cimatti (Italy), Harm van der Zeeuw (Netherlands) The festival features demonstrations, kiln firings, talks and discussions, films, exhibitions, performances, hands-on activities, and plenty of other activities over an exciting weekend. Mae’r unfed ar bymtheg Ŵyl Serameg Ryngwladol, gŵyl serameg flaenllaw’r DU, yn dychwelyd i Ganolfan y Celfyddydau Aberystwyth gyda llu o seramegyddion rhyngwladol yn arddangos eu gwaith. Mae’r digwyddiad poblogaidd hwn erbyn hyn yn uchafbwynt ar galendr y byd crefft, gan gynnig rhywbeth at ddant pawb, yn amrywio o’r sawl sy’n ymddiddori mewn crochenwaith fel hobi, i seramegyddion proffesiynol, athrawon, artistiaid a chasglwyr. Mae Gŵyl 2017 yn nodweddu seramegyddion o bob rhan o’r byd. Mae’n gyfle unigryw i weld seramegyddion rhyngwladol nodedig yn arddangos eu technegau ac yn trafod eu syniadau a phrosesau. This brand new opera receives its world premiere during Glyndebourne 2017. Brett Dean, one of the most important composers of our time, re-stages Shakespeare’s best known tragedy and will cast the familiar story of intrigue and revenge in a brand new light. The title role will be sung by Allan Clayton, who previously captivated Glyndebourne audiences in Albert Herring and The Rape of Lucretia. Live screening.
