Radar technology will be installed at a cost of around one million euros. Based at Cap de Ses Salines, the system to detect unauthorised movement will work in conjunction with a rapid intervention boat. The specialised vessel will cost 650,000 euros, while almost half a million euros will go towards securing additional personnel, and 1.5 million euros is budgeted for research work. Fishing and anchoring is prohibited in waters surrounding Cabrera, home to turtles and whales. The new plans, which are expected to start over winter and complete in the space of a year, will make it the largest reserve of its kind in the Mediterranean.

Se invertirá un total de 7,5 millones de euros para salvaguardar el Parque Nacional Cabrera. Con el objetivo de proteger el daño que causan los cruceros y embarcaciones de mercancías, la zona marina protegida aumentará de 10,000 a 90,000 hectáreas. Se instalará tecnología mediante radar por un valor de aproximado de un millón de euros. Con base en el Cap de Ses Salines, el sistema para detectar movimientos no autorizados funcionará junto con una lancha de intervención rápida. El buque especializado costará 650.000 euros, mientras que se destinará casi medio millón de euros a la contratación de personal adicional, y se han presupuestado 1,5 millones de euros para trabajos de investigación. Por ello se prohíbe pescar y anclar en las aguas que rodean Cabrera, hogar de tortugas y ballenas. Este proyecto, que se espera se inicie durante el invierno y se complete en el plazo de un año, convertirá Cabrera en la mayor reserva de este tipo en el Mediterráneo.

Für rund eine Million Euro wird eine Radarstation in Cap de Ses Salines aufgebaut. Sie soll zusammen mit einem Schnellboot der Küstenwache unbefugten Zutritt und anderweitige Verstöße erkennen. Das Schiff wird 650.000 Euro kosten, knapp eine halbe Million Euro wird in zusätzliches Personal investiert und 1,5 Millionen Euro sind für Forschungsarbeiten vorgesehen. In den Gewässern rund um Cabrera, wo Schildkröten und Wale beheimatet sind, ist Angeln und Ankern verboten. Die Umsetzung der Maßnahmen ist für diesen Winter geplant und wird den Nationalpark zum größten dieser Art im Mittelmeerraum machen.
