Abbeywood Tots (Station Road) Newsletter Sept/Oct Pre-School – Frogs Last week the Frogs, learnt about different Fairytales. We planted our own beans at the allotment and made a castle scene ready for our display. The children have enjoyed baking gingerbread men.

This week, we will be continuing our ‘Fairytale’ theme whereby we will be reading the ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ story and exploring the forest on our woodlands trip. We will be reading ‘Goldilocks and the three bears’ and ordering different items from biggest to smallest. Junk Modelling

Sept 2013 Baby room In the Baby room we have enjoyed exploring the musical instruments and using them to make our own music. We have also enjoyed using a variety of resources to create different marks.

Next week, we will be focussing on minibeasts. We will be going on a minibeast hunt at the allotment and using paint to create minibeast prints on paper. We will be exploring the book ‘The very hungry caterpillar’ and use the tunnels to crawl like caterpillars. The Wild Place:
