Mashed Sweet Potatoes 4 medium-large sized potatoes, skins peeled and cubed 3 tbspn organic butter 3


1/2 tspn cinnamon 2-4 tbspn almond milk 1/2 tspn minced ginger 1/8 tspn nutmeg Fill a large stock pot halfway with water and bring to a boil. Add cubed potatoes and boil for about 30 minutes, or until they are easily pierced with a fork.

Olive Oil Bread Dip ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil 2-3 tbsp balsamic vinegar ½ tsp basil 1 tsp oregano ¼ tspn marjoram 1 tbsp grated parmesan ¼ tsp rosemary ½ tsp minced garlic A dash of black pepper & sea salt Place all ingredients in a shallow dipping bowl. Mix well with a spoon, and use as a dip with multi-grain Italian style bread. PICTURE

Roasted Rutabagas 4 servings Ingredients: 2 tbsp coconut oil or butter 5


1/8 cup water 1 large rutabaga, peeled 1 small red bell pepper 1 tbsp Mrs. Dash original or Herbamare 1/4 tsp paprika 1/2 tsp garlic powder Sea salt to taste Black pepper to taste Directions: 1. Chop the rutabaga into 1 inch cubes. 2. Chop the pepper into small chunks. 3. Melt the oil or butter in a large, wide pan, and add the water and rutabagas. Cook on medium-high, covered, stirring frequently for about 10 minutes. 4. Add the remaining ingredients, and continue cooking for about another 10 minutes or until a fork easily pierces the largest of the rutabaga cubes.
