Cocoon like structures inspired from the cane crafts of the region were designed to provide a sense of privacy to the customers 2


Murals on walls above the entrance door and along the staircase railing with stairs cladded in brass

Bamboo plantations along the seating to provide the customers an experience of Kerala’s natural beauty

False ceiling inspired from the sail boats


Wall running along the staircase is jaali in mdf with brass behind it highlighting the motif inspired from the traditional crafts

The bar is in wood with a brass counter top and is further adorned by traditional dance masks. The walls in the area use shadow puppetry as a concept

A renovation project where the client wanted the drawing room,dining area,bedroom and a bathroom to be renovated . A lot of floral patterns have been used and color has only been used as accents as per the client’s requirements.

The bus housing the design team divides the space effectively creating corridors for ease of circulation

The waiting area inspired from the bus stop has seating integrated with columns cladded to look like lamp posts

The meeting room has been treated with casual elements as there is no hierarchy in the office 14


The founder’s room is the only formal space in the office.Each room has a different type of furniture keeping in mind the use of space by the employee.The wall treatment has been the same all along to add coherence to the space. 15


The open café has steps that act as seating around the counter.The area also has a stapu for a quick break.

The bus is customized for the space where people are ‘on the move’ constantly.The creative head and the designers share the same space segregated by a folding door.

The space allows the products to be the main focus. The walls are left bare to display art works by students.

Levels are created to display the products providing clearance for circulation

There are ottomans scattered all over the space for students to take notes while working in the space. There is a student discussion area for use during group assignments.

The entire space has bookshelves lined along the walls for documents, journals and research reports by students. The space behind the faculty area has provision for storing yarns and reels along the screen.

There is place for students where one can get a quite corner to sit and work within the resource center. The faculty area sits right in the center of the space with screens acting as bookshelves. 22

The client wanted a blend of colonial architecture with modern interiors. He wanted easy to maintain materials with a minimalistic look.

The pool area overlooks the lake and has a day bed for lazing around taking in the soothing views.

The suite has a living room, a bed room with a bathroom and a pool area. The bathroom has a separate shower and toilet area with a door opening into an outdoor bathing space.The outdoor areas allow guests to enjoy the tropical monsoon climate of Cochin. Both the living room and the bed room have windows that have serene views of the lake.

Staying as a PG I needed a comfortable working table which didn’t occupy much space.The seating was integrated so that one can use it in very tight spaces as well.A single piece of plywood was used to make this. 30

The living room also serves as the guest room so there are poufs that add to the seating which otherwise can be used in the waiting area.

A screen separates the dining space from the living area adding a sense of privacy to the otherwise open space.

Only the lighting in the bedroom has been worked on. The bathroom was redone keeping in mind the client’s storage need. 32
