N _This studio project was about returning to traditional methods of design: constructing and designing everything by hand. Unlike the previous semester where we used Revit and other digital medias exclusively as a design tool, I was taught how to use my hand and eyes to think and design. Understanding the rudimentary way of programing a space was a huge drive of this design. Keeping the community functions on ground level and open to the public and keeping all library functions in an open-air space. Once elevating the library functions to the second floor, I was able to create a very stoic feeling with the columns. The powerful gesture of lifting program up allowing for a monumental entry was important feeling I wanted to establish for the whole building.
