Student Body President & Vice-President Welcome, Bobcat Class of 2017! We are excited to welcome you to your new home, Texas State University! You have made the greatest decision of your life to attend this extraordinary university. Your best years are ahead of you. You are beginning your journey at Texas State during its most prime time. We just set a new record for enrollment, and we have recently become a Hispanic Serving Institution, an Emerging Research Institution, and just this past year we moved to Division 1 in our Athletics program. You are just the second class who will have the opportunity of enjoying football games at our newly renovated Bobcat Stadium. Take the opportunity to get involved in your university. Getting involved in student organizations has countless rewards from making new friends to growing as a leader and as an individual. For us, getting involved in a student organization helped ease the transition process of leaving home and coming to college.
