SAFETY

GO HRDD Operations Unit alongside with the NAGO Training conducted a Risk Assessment Management Workshop for 90 KGP employees on March 26-30, 2011. The objective of the course was to provide the attendees with the introduction and awareness about RAM as per SMS element # 2. In line with the corporate strategy to enhance workforce competency, three (3) sessions of Basic Life Support (BLS) course were conducted for 60 Contractor employees of Saudi Catering from Haradh Camp Service Unit on March 27-28, 2011. This course aims to educate the employees about the proper means of acting during emergency’s cases and demonstrate the process of using the Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

PREPARE WORKFORCE FOR THE FUTURE

HRDD has rolled out Full Job Planning IBMS Interface to GO Departments. The system is designed to include full jobs not only by job family but also it drills down into job title and subdiscipline for job titles where applicable such as different Engineering Job Titles. This interface system is one of many phases for GO Manpower Study that was conducted by HRDD earlier in Year 2010. Upon uploading all required data by GO Departments, many benefits will be realized from this system such as but not limited to the following: -

It will magnify manning level for each plant by discipline/function.

-

It will be accessible by different Management Levels all the way down to Unit Heads.

-

It will assist GO Management in making decisions pertaining to hiring, promotions, transfers, projects’ support and better normalization of various Jobs across the GO.

It is worth mentioning that the system will undergo many enhancements to realize mentioned benefits. The system can be accessed throughout the following URL:

http://dam07013-sgop01:8889/forms90/f90servlet?config=ibms. GO Departments have been

already requested to start inputting data into the interface with a due date of April 13, 2011 before locking the system for further analysis and enhancements. 

HRDD Operations and Maintenance Supervisors held a meeting with ShGP OME representatives on March 28, 2011. The meeting aimed to clarify the ESOs and Electrical Technicians training requirements per the Arc Flash Mitigation committee recommendations. The required strategies to fulfill them were also discussed. During the meeting, each discipline was discussed in details and the specific courses were identified for each. Given that the Job Skills has been approached to secure the necessary places, all departments are requested to provide candidates as soon as possible.

HRDD conducted a presentation session at HNGL on the Technician Certification Requirements to ensure that employees at all levels are aware of the requirements and the imposed timeline for Recertification for 14 HNGL employees on April 4, 2011. The presentation was delivered by Graham Bishop, OJT Maintenance Unit Supervisor, and was well-received and appreciated by the audience. It is worth mentioning that HNGL has already started preparing employees for the recertification test and three (3) electrical employees have already attempted the test.

HRDD would like to bring to light that HGP Maintenance Division has reached 98% in Current Grade Code Job Certification.
