Fragrant wax bars with the delicate smell of roses, lavender, or other flowers are much easier to create than you think. Simply place your favourite flowers in melted wax and freeze it. You can use these bars in small spaces such as a closet – hang several bars on the back wall of the closet and it will become filled with the freshness of spring flowers.

In order to achieve the smell of nature in the home, it is unnecessary to purchase aerosol cans, sprays, or toxic aromatic disks. There are methods to create pleasant fragrances using natural ingredients.



If you enjoy a sweet and pleasant aroma, you can create an assortment of dried fruit slices, the peels of citrus fruits, and cinnamon twigs. The combination of the strong smell of peel and various spices effectively uplifts the mood. Such a sachet can be hand-made and you can display it in an elegant vase in the living room or bedroom.










Fragrant oils are not limited to candles – they can be effectively incorporated with reeds. The light aroma of oils, emitted from wooden reeds, will not be overwhelming. Furthermore, the entire composition with the reeds will belong in any interior. All that you need to do is find a suitable bottle (you can decorate it accordingly if you wish), mix several oils at its base (three is enough), and place the reeds inside. It may take some time for the aroma to appear. In order to speed up this process and fully drench the reeds, you can alternate between placing the reeds from both ends. You can also experiment with various types of oils and choose the combination that is most appealing to you. This arrangement can be placed on the dining table or nightable. Enjoy!

Painting walls has always been a trend that offers a wide variety of options. Such a covering is very practical and easy to look after. Furthermore, you can easily change it whenever you wish; perhaps according to the seasons. There are several unusual types of wall paints that are able to bring zest to the interior and make it interesting.

FLUORESCENT PAINT Paint that shines in the dark will create a lasting impression on your guests. It can be applied to a variety of surfaces: glass, cement, fabric, and even metal. There are colourful options that are visible throughout the day and transparent paints that are invisible in the light. With the help of this technique, you can create the effect of the night sky on the ceiling, create various illustrations on the walls, and highlight particular zones in the interior. Fluorescent paints do not spoil and do not harm your health. They do not contain any radioactive elements. The only requirement is a periodical charge from light; therefore, it is best to have some sort of lighting source near the walls whether it is sconces or neon lighting.

SLATE PAINT If there are children in the home, they will no doubt enjoy a wall on which they can draw with chalk. To create it, you will need slate paint. Currently on the market there are more than ten colours as well as a colourless option. The only drawback is that this paint takes about a week to dry; however, once ready, you can draw on it with markers and erase all you want! This will allow you to constantly change the interior while developing artistic abilities in your child.

MAGNETIC PAINT Magnetic paint is made of small metallic parts that are able to act as magnets. It is recommended to apply a thin layer of this paint. Since magnetic paint does not have a large variety of colours, it can be covered with any other type of paint. For example, it can be layered with marker or slate paint. Now you will be able to not only draw on the walls, but also attach a magnetic family photo.

Another option for a fake window in the interior is to frame it in polyurethane moulding which you can paint in any colour. Like in the previous scenario, the first step is to attach an image. HOME-STAGING: The Secrets of Quick Sales Hello, my name is Natalia Slobidker. I am a professional realtor, interior designer and certified specialist of home-staging. This discussion will focus on the latter of those three. Home-staging is the professional preparation of real estate for sale. The sweet spot between consumer psychology, interior design and the mastery of the art of real estate is much like a science of its own. The goal of staging is to sell your real estate while maximizing the speed of the sale and the price with a minimal amount of time, money and effort spent. For starters, here are some statistics: in 2012, RESA (Real Estate Staging Association) inspected 89 houses which, on average, lasted 166 days on the market until the owners despaired and called a professional home stager. On average, these houses were sold 32 days after they were professionally prepared – that is 81% less time spent on the market!!!
